Abstract

Un système pour le chauffage sur place dune formation en subsurface pour lextraction dhydrocarbures dans les dépôts souterrains est décrit. Le système est configuré pour chauffer le dépôt souterrain dhydrocarbures pour faciliter la circulation des fluides et la récupération dhydrocarbures du dépôt souterrain. Le système comprend une antenne formée dune ligne de transmission coaxiale ayant un espace annulaire entre le conducteur extérieur et le conducteur central de la ligne de transmission et ayant au moins une ouverture périodique le long de la longueur axiale du conducteur extérieur. Une méthode de chauffage sur place de la formation en subsurface pour la récupération des hydrocarbures est aussi décrite. La méthode comprend ce qui suit : la fourniture dune antenne dans la formation en subsurface; la fourniture dune puissance RF électromagnétique à lantenne pour chauffer au moins une partie de la formation en subsurface.
