Abstract
L'invention porte sur un procédé pour la récupération d'or à partir d'un minerai ou concentré riche en pyrite réfractaire contenant de l'or. Le procédé conduit à la production d'un concentré intermédiaire solide contenant de l'or de haute qualité. Un mode de réalisation comprend les étapes consistant à traiter un matériau contenant de l'or (100) riche en pyrite, arsénopyrite ou autre sulfure de fer pour produire un concentré réfractaire contenant de l'or (110) comprenant une matrice minérale hôte riche en pyrite, arsénopyrite ou autre sulfure de fer, oxyder sous pression (112) le concentré réfractaire (110) dans des conditions acides pour décomposer la matrice minérale hôte et faire précipiter du sulfate ferrique basique (Fe(OH)SO4) pour produire un produit d'oxydation sous pression (114), conditionner le produit d'oxydation sous pression (114) dans des conditions acides à pression atmosphérique pour convertir le sulfate ferrique basique (Fe(OH)SO4) en sulfate ferrique soluble (Fe2(SO4)3) pour produire un produit de conditionnement (120) et effectuer une séparation solide/liquide du produit de conditionnement (120) pour produire un concentré intermédiaire solide contenant de l'or de haute qualité (124) et un filtrat acide (126).
