Abstract

Linvention concerne un procédé et un système dexploration sismique marine comprenant des capsules autonomes au fond de locéan, à enregistrement continu, caractérisées par des caissons à profil bas. Un pare-chocs externe est fourni pour favoriser le couplage au fond de locéan et éviter le piégeage des filets de pêche. Les capsules sont reliées par un câble souple, non rigide et non conducteur, utilisé pour contrôler le déploiement des capsules. Les capsules sont déployées et récupérées depuis un pont de bateau configuré pour disposer dun système de stockage et dun système de manipulation permettant de relier les capsules au câble à la volée. Le système de stockage est une configuration de fentes de juke-box dans laquelle des capsules individuelles sont stockées de manière aléatoire dans les fentes pour permettre lextraction, la charge, le test et la synchronisation de données, sans ouvrir les capsules. Une nacelle peut inclure un système de navigation par inertie pour déterminer lemplacement du fond de locéan et une horloge à rubidium pour le chronométrage. Le système comprend un système de cadran mathématique. Le câble peut inclure des accouplements à cisaillement conçus pour se séparer automatiquement si un certain niveau de tension du câble est atteint.
