Abstract
The following Patent refers to an invention of a new type of powered trailer ventilation system.
This device is designed to circulate the air inside a closed trailer used for industrial shipping purposes when the trailer is at rest. Specifically this device is designed to improve the ventilation of dry van and livestock trailers to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria. The design consists of a top and bottom housing which hold a fan and a fan motor powered by a solar panel which mounts to the exterior of the top part of the housing. This assembly then mounts to a mounting plate which is installed to any vertical surface of said trailer.

Description
2 DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL FIELD
The fallowing invention refers to a means of powered ventilation specifically designed to be mounted on vertical surfaces of enclosed portable trailers.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Depending on the application of the trailer, ventilation can play a key role in the proper transportation of the goods inside. Specifically when dealing with dry vans and livestock trailers excess moisture inside the enclosure can either cause mold or bacterial growth which in either case can compromise the trailer or its cargo. Conventional means of ventilation for industrial transportation purposes consisted of installing a hatch at the front and rear of the trailer so that when the trailer is in motion air will pass through the van pulling out any moisture.
However when the trailer is not in motion or moving very slowly such as sitting in traffic, these conventional vents are not effective. The solution to this is to create a means of powered ventilation that can function when the trailer is not moving. It must be designed to be durable and reliable in its construction and easy installed to an existing trailer.
Currently in the market solar powered ventilation systems are used for recreational vehicle ventilation. Depending on the reigns and countries that these trailers are operating in, height and length restrictions can be imposed on these trailers meaning all conventional systems are prohibited to be used in Canada.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
For a more complete understanding of this disclosure and its features, reference is now made to the following description, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
(1) Fan motor.
(2) Fan.

(6) Bottom Housing.
(7) Mounting plate.
DETAILED DISCRIPTION
The fallowing new invention refers to a powered fan system that mounts to the front or rear of the trailer to create air circulation when the van is at rest. This vent system consists of a fan motor (1) attached to a fan (2), powered by a solar panel (3) through a wiring harness (4). These components are housed within 2 plastic parts, the top housing (5) and the bottom housing (6), which then get secured to the mounting plate (7). The solar panel (3) provides power to the fan motor (2) so that the system is independent and does not need to tie into any electrical system from the vehicle towing it (Fig 1). The device would work by using the solar panel (3) to send power to the fan motor (1) through a wiring harness (4) to spin a fan (3). The top (5) and bottom (6) housing would provide weather protection and structural support for these components (Fig 3). The user would then cut a hole on one of the exterior vertical surfaces of the trailer and secure the mounting plate to said surface (Fig 2). The assembled housings would then sit inside the mounting plate and secure form the inside of the trailer so that it cannot be tampered with from the outside. The solar panel (3) secures to the top of the top housing (5).
Possible uses for this device would mainly be dry vans and livestock trailers.
They can be placed anywhere that best suits the application in any quantity.
