Abstract

Des hydrates de carbone comme ceux dérivés dune biomasse végétale peuvent être convertis en monoalcools, en diols et/ou en alcools bifonctionnels ou en dérivés dacide carboxylique. Par une transestérification catalytique de tels dérivés dhydrates de carbone, des composants de base de diesel de type ester peuvent être produits. Plus particulièrement, des lévulinates dalkyle sont transestérifiés de manière catalytique avec des composés à fonction hydroxyle dans lesquels les alcools et les lévulinates dalkyle sont dérivés depuis des hydrates de carbone de biomasse. Des esters produits de cette manière montrent des caractéristiques physico-chimiques qui les rendent appropriés pour utilisation comme mélange de base pour carburant diesel.
