Abstract
La présente invention concerne des bandes absorbantes pour réprimer des liquides dune longueur indéterminée comprenant un manchon de polypropylène ou de polyéthylène non tissé ou un élément similaire ainsi quun substrat dans une ou plusieurs couches à lintérieur du manchon. Le substrat est imprégné ou autrement ensemencé avec un polymère superabsorbant comme le polyacrylate de sodium. Le manchon et le substrat sont perforés à des longueurs périodiques pour permettre la sélection dune bande de la longueur désirée avec le substrat traité pour déactiver le polymère superabsorbant dans les zones adjacentes aux perforations. Les bandes pour réprimer des liquides peuvent être utilisées pour contenir les déversements avant le nettoyage, réduire au minimum les dommages résultant de fuites et commander la solution chimique pour décaper les planchers. Linvention est adaptée à un large éventail dapplications de nettoyage, y compris : les fuites de frigorigène, le décapement des planchers, la cuisine, les toilettes, la fenêtre, la piscine, la chambre dhôpital et bien dautres applications.
