Abstract

Un différentiel à blocage sélectif comporte une configuration bloquée dans laquelle les deux engrenages latéraux sont bloqués indépendamment au carter de différentiel de manière que le couple ne soit pas transmis à travers les pignons dengrenage. Le blocage des engrenages latéraux est accompli par des structures annulaires généralement cylindriques avec des crénelures sur une surface dextrémité axiale de chaque structure. Ces crénelures sadaptent sélectivement avec des crénelures fixées de manière rotative de structures secondaires fixées au carter de différentiel, de manière que les structures annulaires définissent un agencement à glissement nul interconnecté mécaniquement par rapport aux structures secondaires fixes en rotation lorsque le différentiel est en configuration bloquée.
