Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de déterminer l'orientation d'un outil de prospection de puits de forage à une première position par rapport à une direction de référence. Au moins un premier signal indique une orientation d'un système de référence directionnelle par rapport à la direction de référence. Le système de référence directionnelle est positionné à une seconde position espacée par rapport à la première position. Au moins un second signal indique une orientation relative de l'outil de prospection de puits de forage par rapport au système de référence directionnelle. L'orientation de l'outil de prospection de puits de forage à la première position est déterminée en réponse, au moins partiellement, au(x) premier(s) signal(aux) et au(x) second(s) signal(aux).
