Une chaussure de patin comprenant une coque extérieure et une doublure intérieure composée dun premier matériau et comprenant une surface extérieure montée à la surface intérieure de la coque extérieure, une surface intérieure conçue pour être en contact avec le pied du joueur ou un bas couvrant le pied du joueur, une partie cheville comprenant une région intérieure supérieure médiale et une région intérieure supérieure latérale, et un recouvrement couvrant au moins partiellement une des régions intérieures supérieures médiales et latérales de la partie cheville de la doublure intérieure, le recouvrement étant fabriqué à partir dune seconde matière ayant une résistance à labrasion plus grande que celle de la première matière de la doublure intérieure.
