Abstract

Une selle allongée de remorquage avant est décrite. La selle permet à un premier camion tracteur de monter un second camion, tourné vers lavant, derrière lui, afin de remorquer le second camion vers un endroit éloigné. La selle permet au camion remorqué de faire face à lavant pendant le transport, ce qui permet de tenir compte des charges et des contraintes normales de déplacement du camion remorqué. Cette configuration est préférable au mouvement avec le camion remorqué tourné vers larrière, dans lequel les surfaces aérodynamiques typiques dun gros camion agissent comme une traînée pendant le transport, imposant des charges de vent élevées et des contraintes inhabituelles. La selle allongée de remorquage avant est également conçue pour minimiser la montée verticale requise sur le camion remorqué, ce qui évite également des contraintes supplémentaires lors du chargement et du déchargement sur le camion tracteur.
