Abstract
Rough-in for under slab ventilation allows to connect a space under the slab of grade of building structure which contain layer of gravel under the concrete slab with above the ground outside air utilizing 100 mm in diameter flexible solid pipe (# 1 on attached drawing).
This connection will make possible to ventilate soil gases accumulated in the space under the slab.
Inserted inside of the above noted pipe 50 mm in diameter flexible solid pipe will allow to inject air for drying out soil located under the slab or pump out collected water.

Invention Tile:
Rough-in for under-slab ventilation.
This rough-in is to provide possibility to ventilate soil gases from the under-slab space in new or existing structures with concrete slab on grade.
It consists of (numbers are referred to those on attached drawing # 1):
1. Flexible solid plastic pipe of 100 mm diameter (for ventilating soil gases with or without on-line fan ) 2. Flexible solid plastic pipe of 50 mm diameter inserted inside of 100 mm pipe.
(to allow for pumping out water which might be collected under the slab or injecting air into the under-slab are for drying purposes) 3. Filter fabric to prevent pipe 1 and/or 2 from flogging by soil fines.
