Abstract
A Shoelace Keeper that ties the ends and loops of a shoelace bow knot with a Velcro strap and secures them to the shoe or shoelace to prevent the shoelaces from becoming untied. This assembly comprises three parts:
1. A loop to attach the assembly to the shoe; this said loop can be fixed or detachable on one end to allow for easier installation 2. A piece of Velcro hooks attached to the said loop.
3. And a strap of Velcro Loops attached across the back of the said Velcro hooks. This strap folds over the shoelaces and then locks to the said Velcro hooks.
This invention is very effective in keeping the shoelaces tied under severe conditions, such as soccer games, long distance running, etc.

Description
Shoelace Keeper This invention relates to a device that keeps the shoelaces tied and secured, preventing them from became untied.
Background Of The Invention Shoelaces are the most common way to secure shoes. A common problem is that they can easily become untied, especially while running, thus creating a trip hazard.
The Shoelace Keeper solves this problem, by keeping the lace ends and loops bundled together.
There are other devices to keep the shoes securely tied but most of them are made of solid materials that are not attached to the shoe, only to the knot. They cannot be used by children as the small plastic pieces can became a choking hazard. They are also ineffective in soccer and other sports where they can interfere with the ball.
Summary Of The Invention The Shoelace Keeper is an invention that will prevent the shoelaces from becoming untied and creating a trip hazard. Specially designed for children but can be used by runners, sports players and athletes.
The Shoelace Keeper gets attached to the first or any loop of the shoe lacing through the Shoelace Keeper loop (1). Once the shoe is tied, the open Shoelace Keeper is placed on top of the lacing. The ends and the loops of the bow knot are bundled together and placed on top of the body (2) and secured with the Velcro strap (3) to the body (2).
Detailed Description Of The Invention Shoelace Keeper is a device that holds the ends and the loops of a shoelace bow knot of any kind with a Velcro tie. Shoelace Keeper compresses 3 main parts: a loop at the bottom (1), a flexible piece of Velcro hooks (2) and a strap of Velcro loops (3) attached across the back of the said piece of Velcro as illustrated in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
The said loop at the bottom (1) can be detachable as illustrated in Figure 3 and Figure 4, to allow for easier installation.
The bottom loop (1) attaches the Shoelace Keeper to the shoe through the 1st or any loop of the lacing. This loop can be fixed to the body (2) of the device or detachable on one end to allow for easy installation.
The body (2) consists of a piece of flexible Velcro hooks.
The strap (3) consists of a strip of Velcro loops that wraps around the shoelace bow knot ends and loops.
In the drawings, which form part of this specification, Figure 1 is a semi-diagrammatic view of the shoelace Keeper, showing the Keeper as open;
Figure 2 is a semi-diagrammatic view of the shoelace Keeper, showing the Keeper as closed;
Figure 3 is a semi-diagrammatic view of the shoelace Keeper, showing the Keeper and the removable loop as open;
Figure 4 is a semi-diagrammatic view of the shoelace Keeper, showing the Keeper and the removable loop as closed;
Figure 5 is a semi-diagrammatic view of the shoelace Keeper, showing the Keeper attached to a shoe.
