Abstract

Invention improves on current single steam boiler technology used in food industries. All-in-one apparatus houses modified patented components bearing manufacturers' CSA, ULL and EPA registrations. Functions as an "Antimicrobial Waterless Sterilization and Extraction" apparatus (AWS-E). Specifically designed to dial several steam technologies: standard, super-hot dry thick and cold steam.
The last instantly vaporizes water into its diatomic elements, Oxygen (O2) and Hydrogen (H2), converting steam's heat into kinetic energy equivalent to 260° C.
Output is warm to the touch. Process sterilizes heat-sensitive surfaces required in the food packaging industry and now hospitals (e.g., desks, electronics), plus air in closed rooms 100%. Industrially designed for large medical and public facilities.
Connected accessories unilaterally destroy and dispose of antibiotic-resistant, infectious surface superbugs, anthrax spores, air-borne organisms on a molecular level, eliminating re-grouping capabilities. Apparatus components include hoses, distiller, HEPA filtration vacuum, multi-chamber steam generator, reservoirs, control panel and accessories.

Description

Patent Title "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus" or Machine (Description) Int. App. #:PCT/1B201/052452-Biccum--Filing of Amendments and Statement under Article 19 Description BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. FIELD OF THE INVENTION

I, Gerald Biccum of 408-19 Lynnwood Dr., Brantford. Ontario, N3S 6S3 Canada.
Hereby declare the invention, for which I pray a patent may be granted and the method by which it is to be performed and particularly described in the following statement:
It is my intention, as the inventor, to invent the only apparatus capable of generating "Cold STEAM" technology simply by dialing it. A new cleansing and sterilization element by modifying a manufacturer's current steam cleaning machine in flash evaporating water into their diatomic elements of Hydrogen (H2) and Oxygen (02). As such it cause the steams heat to be quickly converted into kinetic energy equivalent to 500 degrees F. which is ambient to the touch or warm.
Powerful enough to destroy, air born germs, deadly pathogens and superbugs on a molecular level, 100%. But future development of the invention may allow for vaporizing a combination of other types of seven Diatomic elements by merging them in a liquid state with water equally in the chambers. Forming a new type of sterilization process that of course would have to be patented. A
combination of 7 elements could easily generate a million variations. The seven diatomic elements of the periodic table consists of: Hydrogen (H2), Nitrogen (N2), Oxygen (02), Fluorine (F2), Chlorine (C12), Bromine (Br2), Iodine (12) and Astatine (At2).
The apparatus relates to saturating a new all-in-one cleansing and sterilization apparatus into our society especially all-of-our medical and public facilities as possible to get a handle on stopping the current superbug outbreaks. It is also designed to improve on/or replacing the current existing single boiler steam technologies used in our food industries today.
This is accomplished by merging a variety of off-the-shelf high tech components modifying them slightly in order to fit inside a special apparatus allowing the manufacturers to retain their current patents, ULL and CSA approvals etc. for quick fabrication, of the technology, which is composed of a: multiple six chamber steam generator/evaporator component, Super HEPA
filtration explosive proof vacuum system, Water purifier/distiller and other components etc. As an all-in-one cleansing and sterilization apparatus capable of destroying and disposing a 100% of all types of surface diseases, as well as antibiotic and microbial-resistant infectious organisms (superbugs) including air-born germs. It does this simply by cleansing and sterilizing the air we breath up to a 2,500 Sq. Ft. in moderately sealed rooms and a variety of heat/sensitive and plain surfaces regardless of material or size, at any given time on an industrial scale. The facilities can be large or small (Hospitals etc.). Including a variety of industries such as agriculture, tourism, food and mining to name a few. Other contaminants may include mold, mildew and dirt, as well as pests such as fleas and bedbugs, are also destroyed and removed.
My Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus pertains to Fig-1, which is designed to be an, all-in-one Antimicrobial Waterless Sterilization and Extraction technology or AWS-E.
Since its inception on Feb 2011 and after a year plus of extensive efficacy testing (at major agriculture University). It has to date out-matched all the combined methods of sterilization with one machine especially on heat sensitive surfaces. Its current achievements is a log 8+ reduction on spores and on up to 100% for pathogens such as e-coli, listeria, c. difel etc. in just 20 seconds of exposure using cold steam. A new Wed., May, 30'h 2012 File ID: 6 Biccum's 113 Apparatus-version 4 Patent DESCRIPTION.pdf Patent Title "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus" or Machine (Description) Int. App. #:PCT/1B201/052452-Biccum--Filing of Amendments and Statement under Article 19 element I created by modifying the dials on the main component made functional simply by dialing 3 on the 113-Apparatus. Achieving this kind of sterilization on heat sensitive surfaces is unheard of in the food industry, such as: meat/vegetables packaging, fruit boxing, plastics and electronics etc.
regardless of material or size. It works simply by dialing the required steam technology (1-Standard, 2-Super-hot Dry Thick and 3-Cold Steam, 4-merges dials 2 & 3). It is then controlled via specific accessories directing the required steam to specific jobs or products to be sterilized. Once the operator sets the appropriate dial for a specific cleansing or sterilization job. An appropriate accessory is then attached designed to direct the required steam technology to the surface sterilizing it in a matter of minutes or into the air we breathe which takes about 20 minutes. Fig-2 is I of several patented floor type of accessories purchased from manufactures specific for dials 1 and 2. Dials 3 and 4 requires a unique type of accessories specific for cold steam uses designed and patented by the inventor, such as; heat sensitive surfaces, OR equipment, hand sterilization etc. just to name a few.
These accessories are specific to cold steam (dials 3 & 4) identified as being; a wand, wall/Floor crawlers and window accessory types just to name a few. The following components of the IB-Apparatus consist of. cold steam generator/evaporator component, Fig-1 (1); An all-in-one Distiller Mechanism, Fig-1 (8 & 18); A HEPA filtration explosive proof vacuum system having 12 removable biohazard bags, Fig-1(8); Top reservoir stores distilled water for sterilization purposes, Fig-1 (5); Bottom reservoir stores liquid Diatomic elements that can be merged with distilled water or used separately, Fig-1(6), is a standard floor spinner accessory attachment, Fig-2 is where the single knob control panel is situated designed to dial the required steam technologies which is hard coded in the apparatus itself.

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN COMPONENT, Fig-1(1) The main component of the apparatus is a manufacturer's 6-chamber multiple steam generator/evaporator module. As such, this particular component inside the IB-Apparatus has been modified in accordance to the inventor's own specs so as not to upset the manufacture's original patents, CSA and other approvals. The modification consists of duplicating the manufacturers machine's control panel four (4) times prior to installing it into the IB-Apparatus housing unit. These permanent settings are specifically associated with a generating a variety of steam technologies as well as a new version, they are; 1st control panel standard steam, 2nd super-hot dry thick steam, 3rd cold steam and 4th merges 2d and 3rd settings. These well hidden four control panels inside the IB-Apparatus are then connected to the inventor's 4 setting control knob set outside the IB-Apparatus Fig 1(1) allowing the operator to dial-1 for standard steam, dial-2 for super-hot dry thick steam, dial-3 for cold Steam and Dial-4 merging dials 2 and 3. Once the operator sets the appropriate dial for a specific cleansing or sterilization job then an appropriate accessory can be connected.

The IB-Apparatus is designed to dial a variety of steam technologies for specific jobs as an all-in-one steam machine but the inventor has added a new element for sterilization and that is Dial 3, Cold STEAM. The 3rd duplicated control panel hidden inside the IB-Apparatus is permanently set to generate cold steam similar to adjusting a furnaces thermostat to a specific setting for one room using other settings for other rooms etc. I, the inventor has adjusted the 3d manufacturer's duplicated control panel to generate cold steam. Therefore dial 3 on the inventor's single knob control system is set to generate cold steam while the other dials other types of steam technologies.
The efficacy testing of Cold STEAM technology, at a major agriculture university (Guelph), has been academically proven that it can sterilize surfaces in the log 8+ range on up to 100% in less then Wed., May, 30th 2012 File ID: G Biccum's IB Apparatus-version 4 Patent DESCRIPTION.pdf Patent Title "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus" or Machine (Description) Int. App. #:PCT/IB201/052452-Biccum--Filing of Amendments and Statement under Article 19 seconds. After optimizing the cold steam technology even further it has become highly successful, 100% reduction, in numerous applicable independent sterilization applications not just for agriculture and medical applications but mining, nursing homes and tourism to name a few, even military germ warfare can be stopped. The IB-Apparatus is an all-in-one steam technology designed specifically to sterilize a variety of standard and heat sensitive surfaces, regardless of material or size such as those in food packaging plants, large and small machinery, medical and public facilities, circuit boards, medical and OR equipment just to name a few.

However, the manufacturer's improved patent for the main component of the IB
Apparatus could also be adapted creating a new bold version of cold-steam cleansing in the 18000 F. range of kinetic energy. After months of negotiating with the American manufacturer they agreed to un-shelve their idea and work with me (a Canadian) in utilizing all the capabilities of their improved invention as the main component or module for my new all-in-one steam generating invention, called, "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus. Bringing back steam technology into our society as it once was in the 1910s, 20s and 30s etc. Supporting a new type of industrial cleansing element, "Cold STEAM" and extraction technology. A steam machine, that has it all, dialing a variety of current and any new steam technologies with an all-one-one unit. Cold steam is a new element for sterilization using kinetic energy of highly charged diatomic IONs in the battle against stopping the superbugs including air born germ and pathogens in air we breathe as well as sterilizing surfaces. The manufacturer realized I could apply the full capabilities of their improved invention in ways they could never achieve. Hence the manufacturer agreed in writing to be the supplier for the main component of my Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus. Modifying their invention resulted in a new stock number (#6609-64A) specific to the IB Apparatus itself. The IB Apparatus is designed with a new type of control system, a single knob that has four settings merging the manufacturer's existing main control panel, Fig-1 (2) that has been duplicated 4 times for each dial setting on the knob, two (2) reservoirs that feeds into the manufacturer's main component, Fig-1 (5 & 6), a HEPPA filtration system Fig-1 (14), with an additional accessories out of 14, Fig-2 is used to direct any of the dialed settings for steam technology including dial 3 Cold Steam. Hence the manufacturer has now realized my IB-Apparatus invention could utilize their steam technology patents with more applicability of purpose. An invention that is highly efficient, effective with rapid responsiveness than they could ever imagine as an existing independent industrial steam cleansing/sterilization and extraction technology.
3. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

At the present time the problem of resistant strains of bacteria, which cannot be destroyed by common bactericides or the current steam technologies, is causing increasing concern in hospitals.
These resistant strains breed rapidly on the floors and walls of the hospital building and since they are not destroyed by normal manual chemical (mod n Pail methodology) or current steam cleaning technologies they tend to spread through the building very rapidly after apply these processes. The resultant spread of secondary infection amongst the patients is a serious problem and in order to avoid it sometimes necessary to close operating theaters and other parts of the building, which causes considerable disturbance to the work of the hospital. To resolve this issue and others like it I had to relate to improving the current single boiler steam technology used in the food industry with al all-in-one steam machine that can dial any required steam technology plus my new version, "Cold STEAM" on an industrial scale never heard of before. Current single boiler systems are not particularly applicable for use in our large hospitals or other public facilities on a large industrial Wed., May, 30th 2012 File ID: G Biccum's IB Apparatus-version 4 Patent DESCRIPTION.pdf Patent Title "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus" or Machine (Description) Int. App. #:PCT/IB201/052452-Biccum--Filing of Amendments and Statement under Article 19 scale hence why I build the IB Apparatus to function industrially. Therefore my Indoor BICCSAN
Apparatus invention relates to improving the current single boiler steam machines with an all-in-one industrial sterilization and extraction apparatus. Capable of dialing a variety of steam technologies and a new cleansing element "Cold STEAM" capable of destroying 100% of resistant strains of bacteria and other surface germs for disposal via a new built in explosive proof vacuum system.

As such I invented my IB Apparatus by merging a variety of off-the-shelf modern and up-to-date components modifying them with my specs so as to fit inside an apparatus the size of a hospital-cleaning cart. The modifications are for fittings as well as making the components work together, but not enough to alter their original patents, CSA approvals and/or UL
registrations etc. for quick manufacturing purposes.

Number #1. Wherein the inventor wishes to file a patent to improve upon the current single steam boiler extraction machines, used in the food industry, that are not applicable for use in our hospitals and society in general. An all-in-one indoor apparatus coined, "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus"
advertising as being an, "Antimicrobial Waterless Sterilization and Extraction" technology or (AWS-E). Designed to dial several types of steam technologies in one unit. I, the inventor created the apparatus by merging a variety of, off-the-shelf, components altered to my specs by the manufacturer but still keeping their CSA, UL and IPO registration approvals in tact for quick fabrication of the technology. A
new type of steam technology that has all already broken every sterilization record for heat and other sensitive surfaces at Guelph University, "Food Sciences Lab," located in Ontario, Canada. It is designed to improve on the current one boiler one job system to rid our communities of the dreaded superbugs plaguing our society especially Hospitals and nursing homes. As an all-in-one device it can dial a variety of steam technologies for multiple cleaning and sterilization jobs with extraction capabilities. Such as: dialing 1 for Standard Steam, 2 for Super-Hot Dry Thick Steam, Dial 3 Cold Steam, Dial 4 combines Dials, 2 and 3. Cold Steam is a new type of advanced steam technology that has been developed by the inventor for sensitive surfaces. It is a chemical free process that has absolutely no water residual and is warm to the touch at the nozzle, (ambient Temperature). As such it allows for 100% sterilization of electronic devices (computers & Dialysis machines etc.) and cluttered desks etc. It works simply by flash vaporization of water into their diatomic elements, Hydrogen (H2) and Oxygen (O2) whereby the heat of steam is quickly converted into kinetic energy (highly excited IONs). An all-in-one cleansing and sterilization apparatus designed for a variety of industries especially medical and agriculture. A multitude of industrial jobs that involves sterilizing large facilities inside and out. The manufactures are assigning unique stock number specific to each component inside the apparatus, ideal for quick fabrication at this time, due to the current concerns of superbugs plaguing today's society. As mention previously, the said IB Apparatus is comprised of the following components or modules housed inside an apparatus the size of a hospital-cleaning cart. It is composed of the original manufacturers patents specifically altered towards the inventor's original specifications, Fig-1 (10-11).
The idea is to create an all-in-one industrial steam apparatus capable of dialing several types of steam technologies with extraction capabilities. It produces a superior cleansing and sterilizing technology that can quickly be manufactured to rid our society of superbugs, instantly and quickly. As such a new "Cleansing Industry" will emerge designed to work along side the current cleaning industry for use in our public and medical faculties, eventually globally. An apparatus designed to help sterilize a variety of industries taking over where chemicals and other processes have failed to deliver, industries such as: meat vegetable packaging plants, mining, medical (Hospitals, retirement/nursing homes), airports (tourism) and agriculture (foods grown) to name a few. The components are as such:

a) As in claim 1, the "Reverse Osmosis system" is a separate component of the apparatus designed to super purify tap water prior to being fed into the distiller mechanism housed inside the IB
Apparatus. The Reverse Osmosis system will have its own patent filed by myself. The Reverse Osmosis system was quickly slapped together and is in the process of being patented (No.:
0,000,000 -0,000,000) including CSA and UL approvals etc. Designed specifically by the inventor for use with the main component housed inside the Indoor BICCSAN
Apparatus. The super clean water from the reverse osmosis filtration system (separate from the apparatus) is then fed into the distiller tank, which is housed inside the Indoor BICCSAN
Apparatus or IBA
machine.

b) As in claim 1, the "Distiller mechanism module," Fig-1 (8), having its own patents (No.:
0,000,000 -0,000,000), stock number 00000-000) including CSA and UL approvals etc.
Designed specifically by the manufacturer for use with the main component. The super clean reverse osmosis water from the filtration system (separate from the apparatus) is then fed into the distiller tank, which is part of the distiller component.

c) As in claim 1, The reservoirs are as such; Once the water is distilled it is then fed into the much larger reservoir Fig-1 (5) that feeds the main chambers of the cold steam generator/evaporator component for all day use.). The second tank is used to store more of the same or be used to store a combination of one or more of the seven diatomic elements in liquid form, Fig-1 (5 &
6), such as: Nitrogen (N2), Fluorine (F2), Chlorine (C12), Bromine (Br2), Iodine (I2) and Astatine (At2). Switchable reservoirs means they can be used separately or in combination to supply either just distilled water, equal parts and/or a percentage of diatomic liquids pumped directly into the super heated, Multiple cold steam generator/evaporator main component of the above mentioned apparatus.

d) As in claim 1, the main component (PDQ Precession's Mini-Max system) defined as, "Multiple cold Steam Generator/Evaporator Chamber and pump system," Fig-1 (1). Has been modified by the manufacturer, according to inventor's specs, with all patents, CSA and UL
accreditation in tact in order to fit inside the apparatus. Improving upon the current single boiler steam cleansing and extraction technology currently used in the food industry today. This main component from the manufacturer includes the following U.S. Patent. Numbers;
No. 4,414,037 including U.S. Pat. Nos. 2,505,656; 2,753,212; 2,861,838; 2,983,450;
3,039.454; 3,218,741;
3,718,805; and 3,721,802, inclusive. The manufacturer has assigned the inventor of the apparatus his own stock number #6609-64A associated with the invention. The pumps main component extracts the distilled water and/or diatomic liquids from either or both of the reservoir tanks, claim (1a). It is then directly fed into the multiple cold Steam Generator/Evaporator Chambers. Once the chambers have been charged for 24/7 use, (20 minutes) the operator of the apparatus can then dial the required steam technology and attach the appropriate accessory for a quick and easy cleansing.

e) As in claim 1. The inventor's control panel (main knob) with its 4 dial settings is fed by duplicating the manufacture's original control panel 4 times. Each of the control panels are permanently set by the manufacturer and invisible to the operator. These four panels are hard wired to a specific steam setting, such as: 1) standard, 2) Super-hot dry thick and 3) cold steam with the fourth panel being set to merge 2 and 3 together. These are all controllable by the inventor's single 4-knob setting. The single knob will be able to dial any of the permanent settings of the four panels originally set up by the manufacturer. Therefore, the single knob will be able to dial either standard, super-hot dry thick and cold steam from the multiple cold Steam Generator/Evaporator Chambers, Fig-1 (1). The operator can now control the required steam of the apparatus using the single knob control, Fig-1 (2). Each of the 4 dial settings harnesses the same extraction capabilities. The 3rd dial setting: cold steam, which exits the accessory nozzles, has a blue streaming effect with ambient temperature or is warm to the touch.
Hence cold steam which is the result of the chamber's transferring the heat of steam into the equivalent of 500 degrees F. of kinetic energy. When these highly charged IONs come in contact with the lower spinning superbug IONs (98 Degrees F.) their molecular structure explodes. The vacuum system then extracts the surrounding debris and filth.

f) As in claim 1, Added to the apparatus as a "Super HEPA Filtration 12 biohazard bag Explosive-proof Vacuum" system, Fig 1(14). Altered towards the inventor's own specs. It is a unique modular component in that it is re-designed to entrap biohazards via twelve unique bag system allowing health official to empty a percentage of them over a long period of time without interfering with the operator's daily workload. The biohazard bags are designed to seal themselves once they are full and replaced on a monthly basis without interrupting the cleansing and sterilization process. Sensitive warning system will alert the operator if they have proceeded beyond replacing 10 biohazard bags. Part of the inventor's specs warns the operator how long they will have in continuous operations with limited uses of the remaining empty bags. This component has its own patent numbers: (No.: 0,000,000-0,000,000B1), stock number 000-00,), also includes CSA and UL approvals etc. Designed specifically by the manufacturer for use in the Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus to collect the exploded remnants of the super bugs molecules and surrounding filth.

g) As in claim 1, Additional parts to the apparatus are hoses and cords just like a vacuum cleaner would have only there are three types to the IB Apparatus. The vacuum hose is separate, while the steam hose and power cord both run together. The Steam hose is exactly what it does transfers the required steam to the appropriate accessories. The power cord runs along side the steam hose and powers either the motor on specific floor accessories and/or a Shamus unit built inside certain accessories. Accessories with shamuses are used specifically with hoses longer then 12 feet as the shamus is designed to boost the steams effect as if it was only 6 feet away.
Reasons for the shamus is because of hose length whereby the source of the steam generation (IB Apparatus) cannot be near the sterilization process or cannot fit-in. The hoses have been altered towards the inventor's own specs but remains patented by the manufacturer.

Floor accessories Number #4. An apparatus as in claim 1, where the floor accessory (Fig 2) is one of many accessories yet to be designed specific to doing a variety of jobs dialed by the operator, Fig-1 (2) that will produce a flow of either standard steam, super-hot dry thick steam and/or combination of highly charged diatomic ION
vapor expelled from the jet nozzle in the accessories at a pressure of 100 to 300 psi for a predetermined number of seconds for the use in public/patient lavatories (floors and walls), small and tall walls, spiral accessories for vents and cone accessory for electronic devices, drapes, cluttered desks, hospital beds, portable toilets and wheel chairs to name a few.

The Indoor BICCSAN Apparatuses unique capabilities Operating the said Apparatus Number #5. 1 claim the "Indoor BICCSAN Apparatus" (IBA Unit) can be operated by doing the following: adjust the input tanks to their required job whether it be the distilled water tank, Fig-1 (5) or the second tank composed of a single or combination of a particular diatomic element in liquid form out of seven, Fig-1 (6), as a direct result of previous lab tests for maximum kill rate of any given germ or superbug either in the air or on a particular surface. Next attach the required accessory and dial the appropriate knob such as number 1, 2, 3 or 4, Fig-1 (2), in accordance to the job requirement. It's that simple. The all-in-one apparatus can unilaterally destroy and dispose of a variety of antibiotic-resistant infectious organisms, including super bugs and anthrax spores even biological weapons decontamination on a molecular level without having re-grouping capabilities.
