Abstract

The existing steering wheel may cause difficulty for drivers to relax their upper bodies while driving due to the limited space and the drivers' pose. In this invention, a spherical handle is connected to a telescopic stick fixed to the steering wheel with lock. The spherical handle can be compressed, extended and rotated through the telescopic stick. Since the length and the angle of the tool can be adjusted, it allows the driver to place their hands at the most comfortable position while driving.

Description

Specification 1. This invention is mounted onto the steering wheel. When needed, enable the drivers to adjust their hands to the most comfortable position to control the steering wheel.
2. The position of the existing steering wheel may cause difficulty for drivers to relax their upper bodies while controlling the steering wheel. This is partially due to the limitation of space that can be used to adjust the steering wheel. This may result in shoulder muscle tension and fatigue after a long drive. For the driver, in a comfortable position is important, especially in one-way driving more than half an hour or more. Poor posture can cause muscle fatigue easily, over time will increase neck and shoulder pain, thereby affecting the cervical spine.
For taxi drivers and people who do a lot of driving, one of their occupational disease is Cervical Spondylosis and frozen shoulder (similar to the office staff). Neck and shoulder discomfort may affect safe driving.
3. This invention will be placed in the left and right bottom of the steering wheel. When need, pull on the spherical handle which is connected to the telescopic stick to adjust and fix the handle at a desirable position. Horizontally and longitudinally rotate and fix the handle to allow the hand to grasp at the most relaxing and comfortable position. When finished, push the device back in place. This invention can significantly relax the driver shoulder and neck muscles. Therefore, the present invention can bring a great deal of social and economic benefits.
4. Part A is a lock. It is locked onto the steering wheel, which can fix Part B (telescopic stick) in the specified location;
Part B is the telescopic stick, which can be extended or compressed based on user's requirements. One end of part B is connected to part A, and the other end connected to the handle (Part C);
Part C is the spherical handle, and the part is connected to B, capable of doing vertical and horizontal rotation twist.
Implementation steps:
1. Properly install parts A, B, and C
2. Pull on the spherical handle which is connected to the telescopic stick to adjust and fix the handle at a desirable position.
3. Horizontally and longitudinally rotate and fix the spherical handle to allow the hand to grasp at the most relaxing and comfortable position.
4. When not use, push and fix the tool back in place.

Claims (4)

1. A manually operable tool that is attached to the steering wheel, comprising a lock, a telescopic stick, and a spherical handle.
2. A tool as defined in claim 1, in which a lock is capable of fixing the telescopic stick onto the steering wheel.
3. A tool as defined in claim 1 or claim 2, in which the telescopic stick is connected to spherical handle capable of compressing and extending vertically, after which it can be fixed in place.
4. A tool as defined in claim 1, claim 2, or claim 3, in which the spherical handle is connected to the telescopic stick capable of rotating horizontally and longitudinally around it, after which it can be fixed in place.
