Abstract

Un système de régulation de débit comprend une colonne montante avec de multiples limiteurs de débit à lintérieur dune colonne stationnaire qui est en interface avec un système de drainage. La colonne montante est balisée par des flotteurs fixés à la colonne montante. Alors que le niveau de fluide autour du système de régulation de débit change, la colonne montante suit les changements, en soulevant et en abaissant ainsi les limiteurs de débit. Puisque les limiteurs de débit ont des zones différentes dans le plan horizontal, une ouverture interstitielle entre le bord extérieur de chaque limiteur de débit et le périmètre intérieur de la colonne stationnaire diffère. Le débit est constant et proportionnel à la profondeur du fluide sur louverture interstitielle avec la dernière zone. Le débit reste constant jusquà ce que ce limiteur de débit créant la plus petite ouverture interstitielle se soulève au-dessus du bord supérieur de la colonne stationnaire auquel moment le limiteur de débit suivant détermine le débit.
