Abstract

La présente invention concerne une méthode damélioration dun hydrocarbure lourd, comme le bitume, en un produit plus léger et liquide et, plus particulièrement, un produit dhydrocarbure final qui est prêt à être raffiné et qui répond aux critères de transport par pipeline sans lajout dun diluant. Un sous-produit dasphaltène solide est créé pour une manutention facile et un traitement supplémentaire. Linvention vise à améliorer le bitume canadien, mais a une application générale dans lamélioration de tout hydrocarbure lourd.
