Abstract

Devices for re-edging a blade of an ice skate are provided. In some embodiments, these devices include: a handle body; a pair of prongs that is arranged with a V
shape at one end of the handle body and that is configured to sharpen the blade; and a honing stone attached to the handle body.

Claims (8)

1. A device for re-edging a blade of an ice skate, comprising:
a handle body;

a pair of prongs that is arranged with a V shape at one end of the handle body and that is configured to sharpen the blade; and a honing stone attached to the handle body.
2. The device of claim 1, wherein the prongs in the pair of prongs are made of ceramic steel.
3. The device of claim 1, wherein the V shape has an angle of 15.6 degrees.
4. The device of claim 1, wherein the honing stone is removably attached to the handle body.
5. The device of claim 1, wherein the honing stone is partially embedded in a recess in the handle body.
6. The device of claim 1, wherein the handle body includes two recesses into which a user's fingers can be positioned when holding the handle body.
7. The device of claim 1, wherein the handle body is bent.
8. The device of claim 1, wherein the handle body has a bump that is located in the palm of a hand when the handle body is held by the hand.
