Abstract

A tool hanger assembly has a frame (10,10A,10B,10C) and a hanger (20,20A,20B,20C). The frame (10,10A,10B,10C) has aback plate (11,11A,11B,11C) and a bracket (12,12A,12B,12C). The bracket (12,12A,12B,12C) is mounted securely on the back plate (11,11A,11B,11C) and has a track (125,125A,125B,125C) formed in a top of the bracket (12,12A,12B,12C). The hanger (20,20A,20B,20C) is mounted securely on the frame (10,10A,10B,10C) and has a base plate (21,21A,21B,21C) and multiple pillars (23,23A,23B,23C). The base plate (21,21A,21B,21C) is mounted securely in the track (125,125A,125B,125C). The pillars (23,23A,23B,23C) are securely mounted on the base plate (21,21A,21B,21C) at intervals to allow sleeves (30,30A,30C) to be mounted around. Accordingly, to assemble the hanger (20,20A,20B,20C) having the multiple pillars (23,23A,23B,23C) with the frame (10,10A,10B,10C) is quick, reduces assembling cost and is convenient.

Description

3 1. Field of the Invention 4 The present invention relates to a tool hanger assembly, and more particularly to a tool hanger assembly to save time for assembling.

6 2. Description of Related Art 7 A conventional tool hanger assembly has a frame and multiple hangers.
8 The frame has a track formed in a side surface of the frame. The hangers are 9 slidably mounted in the track and each hanger has a seat protruding from the hanger. Each hanger has a pillar mounted securely on the seat to allow a sleeve to 11 be mounted around.

12 However, the multiple hangers have to be slid into the track one by one, 13 such that assembling the multiple hangers onto the frame is time-consuming, 14 increases assembling cost and is not convenient.

Additionally, each hanger does not have a flat bottom surface, such that 16 the conventional tool hanger assembly can only be hung on a display board and 17 cannot be positioned on a flat surface.

18 To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention intends to provide 19 a tool hanger assembly to obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

21 The main objective of the present invention is to provide a tool hanger 22 assembly to save time for assembling.

23 A tool hanger assembly has a frame and a hanger. The frame has a back 24 plate and a bracket. The bracket is mounted securely on the back plate and has a 1 track formed in a top of the bracket. The hanger is mounted securely on the 2 frame and has a base plate and multiple pillars. The base plate is mounted 3 securely in the track. The pillars are securely mounted on the base plate at 4 intervals to allow sleeves to be mounted around. Accordingly, to assemble the hanger having the multiple pillars with the frame is quick, reduces assembling 6 cost and is convenient.

7 Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will 8 become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in 9 conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

14 With reference to Figs. 1 to 5, a first embodiment of a tool hanger assembly in accordance with the present invention comprises a frame 10 and a 16 hanger 20.

17 The frame 10 is made of aluminum and has a back plate 11 and a bracket 18 12. The back plate 11 is elongated and has a side surface, a top, a bottom, two 19 opposite ends and two mounting holes 111. The bottom of the back plate 11 is opposite to the top of the back plate 11. The mounting holes 111 are formed 21 through near the top and respectively near the opposite ends of the back plate 11.
22 The bracket 12 is elongated, is mounted securely on the back plate 11 23 and has a connecting plate 121, a seat plate 122, a front protrusion 123, a back 24 protrusion 124 and a track 125. The connecting plate 121 is mounted securely on I the side surface near the bottom of the back plate 11 and has a distal portion 2 opposite to the back plate 11.

3 The seat plate 122 is mounted securely on the distal portion of the 4 connecting plate 121 and has two opposite ends, a rectangular cross section, a 5 top section, a length, a bottom surface, an extending channel 1221, an opening 6 1222 and two concaves 1223. The length of the seat plate 122 is the same as that 7 of the side surface of the back plate 11. The bottom surface of the seat plate 122 8 is flat and is located at a horizontal plane flush with the bottom of the back plate 9 11. The extending channel 1221 is formed inside the seat plate 122, is formed through the ends of the seat plate 122 and has a rectangular cross section.

11 The opening 1222 is formed in the top section of the seat plate 122, 12 communicates with the extending channel 1221 and has a length the same as that 13 of the back plate 11. The opening 1222 divides the top section of the seat plate 14 122 as a first segment and a second segment located between the first segment and the connecting plate 121.

16 The concaves 1223 are respectively formed in the first segment and the 17 second segment of the top section of the seat plate 122, communicate with the 18 opening 1222, align with each other and are adjacent to one of the ends of the 19 seat plate 122.

The front protrusion 123 is formed on and protrudes upward from the 21 first segment of the top section of the seat plate 122 and has a front rib 22 protruding from the front protrusion 123.

23 The back protrusion 124 is formed on and protrudes upward from the 24 second segment of the top section of the seat plate 122 and has a back rib 1 protruding from the back protrusion 124. The front rib 1231 and the back rib 2 1241 face each other.

3 The track 125 is defined as a space between the front protrusion 123, the 4 back protrusion 124 and the top section of the seat plate 122 and has a rectangular cross section.

6 The hanger 20 is made of plastic, is mounted securely on the frame 10 7 and has a base plate 21, a positioning button 22 and multiple pillars 23.

8 The base plate 21 is inserted securely into the track 125 and has a top and 9 a bottom opposite to the top of the base plate 21.

With further reference to Fig. 6, the positioning button 22 is round in 11 section, is formed on the bottom of the base plate 21 and has two opposite sides 12 respectively engaging the concaves 1223.

13 The pillars 23 are formed on the top of the base plate 21 at intervals and 14 are located between the front rib 1231 and the back rib 1241. Each pillar 23 has a support 231, a post 232 and a pillar hole 233. The supports 231 are mounted 16 securely on the top of the base plate 21 at intervals, are located between the front 17 rib 1231 and the back rib 1241 and respectively have a thickness the same as that 18 of the front rib 1231. The posts 232 are respectively mounted securely on tops of 19 the supports 231 and respectively have a square cross section.

The pillar holes 233 are respectively formed through the base plate 21, 21 the supports 231, are respectively formed in the posts 232 and respectively have 22 a top.

23 Preferably, each post 232 has an aperture 2321, a tab 2322 and a knob 24 2323. The apertures 2321 are respectively formed through the posts 232, 1 communicate with the tops of the pillar holes 231 and respectively have two 2 opposite sides. The tabs 2322 are respectively mounted in the apertures 2321, are 3 respectively connected with the opposite sides of the apertures 2321 and 4 respectively have a central segment. The knobs 2323 are respectively mounted securely on the central segments of the tabs 2322 and protrude outwardly.

6 The pillars 23 may not have the pillar holes 233, the tabs 2322 and the 7 knobs 2323 and still allow sleeves 30 to be mounted around in position. The 8 present invention does not limit the format of the pillars 23.

9 With reference to Figs. 7 and 8, while the sleeves 30 are put on the first embodiment of the tool hanger assembly in accordance with the present 11 invention, inner surfaces of the sleeves 30 push the knobs 2323 inward the pillar 12 holes 233 and bend the tabs 2322. When the sleeves 30 are respectively mounted 13 around the pillars 23, the tabs 2322 recover to push the knobs 2323 towards 14 recesses 31 of the sleeves 30. Accordingly, with the knobs 2323 engaging the recesses 31 of the sleeves 30, the sleeves 30 can be mounted respectively around 16 the pillars 23.

17 With reference to Figs. 3 and 4, when the hanger 20 is assembled with 18 the frame 10, the base plate 21 is inserted into the track 125 from one of the ends 19 of the seat plate 122. Because the metallic frame 10 has the opening 1222, the metallic frame 10 has some resilience and tenacity to allow the positioning 21 button 22 to be slid into the concaves 1223 in position. Because the positioning 22 button 22 is easily slid into and off from the concaves 1223, the hanger 20 is 23 easily assembled with and disassembled from the frame 10.

24 With reference to Figs. 9 to 12, a second embodiment of the tool hanger 1 assembly has a frame 1 OA and a hanger 20A. The frame l0A of the second 2 embodiment is the same as the frame 10 of the first embodiment and has a back 3 plate 11 A, two mounting holes 111A, a bracket 12A, a connecting plate 12 1A, a 4 seat plate 122A, a front protrusion 123A, a back protrusion 124A, an extending channel 1221A, an opening 1222A, two concaves 1223A, a front rib 1231A, a 6 back rib 1241A and a track 125A. The hanger 20A of the second embodiment is .
7 substantially the same as the hanger 20 of the first embodiment and has a base 8 plate 21A, a positioning button 22A and multiple pillars 23A. Each post 232A
9 has a round cross section. The pillar holes 233A are formed through the base plate 21 A and are respectively and axially formed through the supports 231A
and 11 the posts 232A. Each post 232A has a top rim 2324A, a flange 2325A and two 12 gashes 2326A. Each flange 2325A is annular and radially formed around the post 13 232A. The gashes 2326A of each post 232A are respectively formed through the 14 top rim 2324A and the flange 2325A, are diametrically opposite to each other and communicate with the pillar hole 233A.

16 With reference to Figs. 9, 11 and 13, while the sleeves 30A are put on the 17 second embodiment of the tool hanger assembly in accordance with the present 18 invention, inner surfaces of the sleeves 30A push the flanges 2325A inward and 19 narrow the gashes 2326A, so the posts 232A can be respectively slid into the sleeves 30A. When the sleeves 30A are respectively mounted around the pillars 21 23A, the flanges 2325A recover and engage the recesses 31A of the sleeves 30A.
22 Accordingly, with the flanges 2325A engaging the recesses 31 A of the sleeves 23 30A, the sleeves 30A can be mounted respectively around the pillars 23A.

24 With reference to Fig. 14, the first embodiment of the tool hanger 1 assembly in accordance with the present invention is hung onto a display board 2 40 by the mounting holes 111. With reference to Fig. 15, the bracket 12 is 3 steadily put on a top of a tool trolley 50 because the bottom surface of the seat 4 plate 122 of the bracket 12 is flat. Accordingly, the tool hanger assembly in accordance with the present invention can be conveniently positioned on any flat 6 surface.

7 The hanger 20,20A with the multiple pillars 23,23A can hang the 8 multiple sleeves 30,30A. Because combining the hanger 20,20A having the 9 multiple pillars 23,23A with the frame 10,1OA is easy, to assemble the hanger 20,20A with the frame 10,1OA is quick, reduces assembling cost and is 11 convenient for hanging multiple sleeves 30,30A.

12 With reference to Figs. 16 to 20, a third embodiment of the tool hanger 13 assembly is substantially the same as the first embodiment and has a frame l OB
14 and a hanger 20B. The frame l OB of the second embodiment is substantially the same as the frame 10 of the first embodiment and has a back plate 11B, two 16 mounting holes 111 B, a bracket 12B, a connecting plate 121B, a seat plate 122B, 17 a front protrusion 123B, a back protrusion 124B, an extending channel 1221B, 18 an opening 1222B and a track 125B.

19 The bracket 12B further has multiple through holes 126B and does not have the concaves 1223, the front rib 1231 and the back rib 1241 of the first 21 embodiment. The opening 1222B is formed in the bottom surface of the seat 22 plate 122B. The through holes 126B are formed through the top section of the 23 seat plate 122B at intervals, are located between the front protrusion 123B
and 24 the back protrusion 124B and communicate with the extending channel 1221 B.

I The hanger 20B of the second embodiment is substantially the same as 2 the hanger 20 of the first embodiment and has a base plate 21B and multiple 3 pillars 23B. The base plate 21B further has multiple connecting holes 211B

4 formed through the base plate 21B and respectively aligning with the through 5 holes 126B. The hanger 20B further has multiple screwing devices 22B and does 6 not have the positioning button 22 of the first embodiment. The screwing devices 7 22B are mounted respectively through the connecting holes 211E and are 8 respectively mounted securely through the through holes 126B. Each screwing 9 device 22B has a bolt and a nut screwed with the bolt to connect securely the 10 hanger 20B with the frame IOB.
11 With reference to Figs. 21 to 23, a fourth embodiment of the tool hanger 12 assembly has a frame l OC and a hanger 20C. The frame 1 OC of the fourth 13 embodiment is the same as the frame l OB of the third embodiment and has a 14 back plate I I C, two mounting holes 111C, a bracket 12C, a connecting plate 121C, a seat plate 122C, a front protrusion 123C, a back protrusion 124C, an 16 extending channel 1221 C, an opening 1222C, a track 125C and multiple through 17 holes 126C. Each pillar 23C of the fourth embodiment is the same as each pillar 18 23A of the second embodiment and has a support 231 C, a post 232C, a pillar hole 19 233C, a top rim 2324C, a flange 2325C and two gashes 2326C.

With reference to Fig. 24, each sleeve 30C has a size sign 32C which is 21 printed on an outer surface of the sleeve 30C by rolling, such that each size sign 22 32C is often printed on an uncertain position of the sleeve 30C.
Accordingly, the 23 size signs 32C can not be rotated to face a user when the sleeves 30C are 24 mounted around the square pillars 23,23B. Because the pillars 23A,23C of the I second and the fourth embodiments are round, the sleeves 30C are easily rotated 2 clockwise or counterclockwise to make the size signs 32C of the sleeves 30C

3 always face a user.

Claims (10)

1. A tool hanger assembly comprising:
a frame made of metal and having an elongated back plate having a top;

a bottom opposite to the top of the back plate;
two opposite ends;

a side surface; and two mounting holes formed through near the top and respectively near the opposite ends of the back plate; and an elongated bracket mounted securely on the back plate and having a connecting plate mounted securely on the side surface near the bottom of the back plate and having a distal portion opposite to the back plate;

a seat plate mounted securely on the distal portion of the connecting plate and having two opposite ends;

a rectangular cross section;
a top section;

a length the same as that of the side surface of the back plate;

a flat bottom surface located at a horizontal plane flush with the bottom of the back plate;

an extending channel formed inside the seat plate, formed through the ends of the seat plate and having a rectangular cross section;
an opening formed in the top section of the seat plate, communicating with the extending channel and having a length the same as that of the back plate, wherein the opening divides the top section of the seat plate as a first segment and a second segment located between the first segment and the connecting plate; and two concaves respectively formed in the first segment and the second segment of the top section of the seat plate, communicating with the opening, aligning with each other and adjacent to one of the ends of the seat plate;

a front protrusion formed on and protruding upward from the first segment of the top section of the seat plate and having a front rib protruding from the front protrusion;

a back protrusion formed on and protruding upward from the second segment of the top section of the seat plate and having a back rib protruding from the back protrusion, wherein the front rib and the back rib face each other; and a track defined as a space between the front protrusion, the back protrusion and the top section of the seat plate; and a hanger made of plastic and mounted securely on the frame and having a base plate inserted securely into the track and having a top and a bottom opposite to the top of the base plate;

a positioning button formed on the bottom of the base plate and having two opposite sides respectively engaging the concaves; and multiple pillars formed on the top of the base plate at intervals and located between the front rib and the back rib.
2. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein each pillar has a support mounted securely on the top of the base plate, located between the front rib and the back rib and having a top and a thickness the same as that of the front rib; and a post mounted securely on the top of the support and having a square cross section.
3. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 2, wherein each pillar has a pillar hole formed through the base plate and the support of the pillar, formed in the post of the pillar and having a top; and each post has an aperture formed through the post, communicating with the top of the pillar hole in the post and having two opposite sides;

a tab mounted in the aperture, connected with the opposite sides of the aperture and having a central segment; and a knob mounted securely on the central segment of the tab and protruding outwardly.
4. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein each pillar has a support mounted securely on the top of the base plate, located between the front rib and the back rib and having a top and a thickness the same as that of the front rib; and a post mounted securely on the top of the support and having a round cross section.
5. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 4, wherein each pillar has a pillar hole formed through the base plate and axially formed through the support and the post of the pillar; and each post has a top rim;

an annular flange radially formed around the post; and two gashes respectively and radially formed through the top rim and the flange, being diametrically opposite to each other and communicating with the pillar hole.
6. A tool hanger assembly comprising:
a frame having an elongated back plate having a top;

a bottom opposite to the top of the back plate;
two opposite ends;

a side surface; and two mounting holes formed through near the top and respectively near the opposite ends of the back plate; and an elongated bracket mounted securely on the back plate and having a connecting plate mounted securely on the side surface near the bottom of the back plate and having a distal portion opposite to the back plate;

a seat plate mounted securely on the distal portion of the connecting plate and having two opposite ends;

a rectangular cross section;
a top section;

a length the same as that of the side surface of the back plate;

a flat bottom surface located at a horizontal plane flush with the bottom of the back plate;

an extending channel formed inside the seat plate, formed through the ends of the seat plate and having a rectangular cross section;
an opening formed in the bottom surface of the seat plate, communicating with the extending channel and having a length the same as that of the back plate; and a front protrusion formed on and protruding upward from the top section of the seat plate;

a back protrusion formed on and protruding upward from the top section of the seat plate, parallel to the front protrusion and located between the front protrusion and the connecting plate;

a track defined as a space between the front protrusion, the back protrusion and the top section of the seat plate; and multiple through holes formed through the top section of the seat plate at intervals, located between the front protrusion and the back protrusion and communicating with the extending channel; and a hanger mounted securely on the frame and having a base plate mounted securely in the track and having a top and multiple connecting holes which are formed through the base plate and respectively align with the through holes;

multiple screwing devices respectively mounted securely through the connecting holes and respectively mounted securely through the through holes, each screwing device having a bolt and a nut screwed with the bolt; and multiple pillars formed on the top of the base plate at intervals and located between the front protrusion and the back protrusion.
7. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 6, wherein each pillar has a support mounted securely on the top of the base plate, located between the front protrusion and the back protrusion and having a top; and a post mounted securely on the top of the support and having a square cross section.
8 The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 7, wherein each pillar has a pillar hole formed through the base plate and the support of the pillar, formed in the post of the pillar and having a top; and each post has an aperture formed through the post, communicating with the top of the pillar hole in the post and having two opposite sides;

a tab mounted in the aperture, connected with the opposite sides of the aperture and having a central segment; and a knob mounted securely on the central segment of the tab and protruding outwardly.
9. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 6, wherein each pillar has a support mounted securely on the top of the base plate, located between the front protrusion and the back protrusion and having a top; and a post mounted securely on the top of the support and having a round cross section.
10. The tool hanger assembly as claimed in claim 9, wherein each pillar has a pillar hole formed through the base plate and axially formed through the support and the post of the pillar; and each post has a top rim;

an annular flange radially formed around the post; and two gashes respectively and radially formed through the top rim and the flange, being diametrically opposite to each other and communicating with the pillar hole.
