Abstract

Un appareil et une méthode de production de signaux de pression qui indiquent le moment où, pendant le forage dun puits, le poids sur le trépan dépasse une limite supérieure prédéterminée. Lappareil comprend un premier mandrin et un deuxième mandrin qui sinsère dans le premier mandrin et peut sy déplacer axialement. La position du deuxième mandrin peut être dépendante de léquilibre de la force dinclinaison dun élément dinclinaison et du poids sur le trépan exercé sur le trépan. Si la valeur du poids sur le trépan dépasse la force dinclinaison de lélément dinclinaison, le deuxième mandrin se déplace vers le haut du trou à lintérieur du premier mandrin et crée un signal de pression qui est détectable à la surface de sorte que lopérateur est informé que les valeurs de poids sur le trépan dépassent la limite supérieure.
