Abstract

A digital broadcasting system and a data processing method are disclosed. In an aspect of the present invention, the present invention provides a data processing method including receiving a broadcast signal in which main service data and mobile service data are multiplexed, demodulating the received broadcast signal, acquiring demodulation time information of a specific position of a broadcast signal frame, and acquiring fast information channel (FTC) information representing binding information of a virtual channel in an ensemble and the ensemble of the mobile service data, acquiring a mobile service data frame of a specific virtual channel using the FTC information, and reference time information contained in a mobile service data frame, setting the reference time information to a system time clock at a specific time based on the demodulation time information and decoding the mobile service data according to the system time clock.

Claims (14)

  1. [1] A data processing method comprising:
    receiving a broadcastsignal in which main service data and mobile service data are multiplexed;
    demodulating the received broadcast signal, outputting demodulation time in-formation of a specific position of a broadcast signal frame, and acquiring reference time information contained in the mobile service data frame;
    setting the reference time informationto a system time clock at a specific time based on the demodulation time information and decoding the mobile service data according to the system time clock.
  2. [2] The method according to claim 1, wherein the reference time information is a network time protocol (NTP) timestamp.
  3. [3] The method according to claim 1, further comprising:
    displaying contents contained in the mobile service data according to the system time clock.
  4. [4] The method according to claim 1, wherein the demodulation time information includes either one of a frame starting point and a frame end point of the broadcast signal.
  5. [5] The method according to claim 1, wherein the reference time information is set to the system time clock at interval of 968 milliseconds.
  6. [6] The method according to claim 1, wherein the broadcast signal includes a data group in which the mobile service data error-correction-encoded by at least one of code rates, and the mobile service data in the interleaved data group includes periodically-inserted known data.
  7. [7] The method according to claim 1, further comprising:
    acquiring fast information channel (FIC) information representing binding in-formation of a virtual channel in an ensemble and the ensemble of the mobile service data from the mobile service data; and acquiring a mobile service data frame of a specific virtual channel using the FIC
    information, the mobile service data frame conveying the mobile service data.
  8. [8] A digital broadcast system comprising:
    a receiver configured to receive a broadcast signal in which main service data and mobile service data are multiplexed;
    a demodulator configured to demodulate the received broadcastsignal, output de-modulation time information of a specific position of a broadcast signal frame, and output a mobile service data frame from the demodulated broadcast signal;
    a mobile service data frame decoder configured to decoding the mobile service data frame and output a transport packet;
    a transport packet (TP) handler configured to output reference time information contained in the transport packet;
    a manager configured to set the outputted reference time information to a system time clock at a specific time based on the demodulation time information a decoder configured to decode the mobile service data according to the system time clock; and a display configured to display contents contained in the decoded mobile service data.
  9. [9] The digital broadcast system according to claim 8, wherein the reference time in-formation is a network time protocol (NTP) timestamp.
  10. [10] The digital broadcast system according to claim 8, further comprising:
    a buffer configured to temporarily store mobile service data contained in the transport packet according to the system time clock.
  11. [11] The digital broadcast system according to claim 10, wherein the manager controls the display for displaying the contents contained in the mobile service data according to the system time clock.
  12. [12] The digital broadcast system according to claim 8, wherein the reference time information is set to the system time clock at interval of 968 milliseconds.
  13. [13] The digital broadcast system according to claim 8, wherein the broadcast signal includes a data group in which the mobile service data error-correction-encoded by at least one of code rates, and the mobile service data in the interleaved data group includes periodically-inserted known data.
  14. [14] The digital broadcast system according to claim 8, wherein the demodulator outputs fast information channel (FIC) information representing binding in-formation of a virtual channel in an ensemble and the ensemble of the mobile service data, and the mobile service data frame decoder decodes the mobile service data frame using the FIC information.
