Abstract

Provided is a washing method. The washing method includes: setting a target water level of washing water supplied for a washing cycle; supplying washing water and measuring a time for the washing water to reach the target water level; and setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle conducted after the washing cycle based on the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level. Adequate rinsing performance can be achieved even in a region with different water pressure.

Claims (16)

1. A washing method comprising:
setting a target water level of washing water supplied for a washing cycle;
supplying washing water and measuring a time for the washing water to reach the target water level; and setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle performed after the washing cycle based on the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level.
2. The washing method of claim 1, wherein, in the step of setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle, an initial value preset as the spray time for the rinsing cycle is increased or decreased according to the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level.
3. The washing method of claim 2, wherein, in the step of setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle, if the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level is greater than a reference value, the initial value is increased.
4. The washing method of claim 2, wherein, in the step of setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle, if the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level is less than a reference value, the initial value is decreased.
5. The washing method of claim 2, wherein, in the step of setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle, the degree of increase or decrease of the initial value is varied according to a difference between the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level and the reference value.
6. The washing method of claim 1, further comprising measuring an amount of laundry in the washing tub, wherein the target water level is set according to the amount of the laundry measured in the laundry amount measuring step.
7. The washing method of claim 6, wherein the step of setting a spray time for the rinsing is a step of increasing and decreasing an initial value preset as the spray time for the rinsing cycle based on the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level, wherein the initial value is set according to the target water level.
8. The washing method of claim 1, further comprising:
performing spraying during the spray time set in the step of setting a spray time for rinsing during the course of the rinsing cycle; and during the spraying, rotating an inner tub receiving the laundry and, at the same time, draining the washing water in the inner tub.
9. The washing method of claim 8, wherein the spraying in the rinsing cycle is performed by a spraying unit for spraying washing water through one or a plurality of nozzles according to the water pressure of the washing water.
10. The washing method of claim 8, further comprising draining the washing water supplied for the washing cycle, wherein the spraying in the rinsing cycle is performed after the draining step.
11. A washing method, in which washing water is supplied into a washing tub so that a predetermine amount of washing water is stored in the washing tub to wash laundry contained in the washing tub, and washing water is sprayed to the laundry to perform rinsing after completion of the washing, the washing method comprising:
setting a target water level of washing water supplied into the washing tub for the washing and supplying washing water until the target water level is reached;
setting a spray time for the rinsing depending on a time for the water level of the washing water supplied for the washing to reach the target water level;
draining the washing water in the washing tub after completion of the washing; and spraying washing water according to the set spray time to rinse the laundry.
12. The washing method of claim 11, wherein, in the step of setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle, an initial value preset as the spray time for the rinsing is increased or decreased according to the time for the water level of the washing water supplied for the washing to reach the target water level.
13. The washing method of claim 12, wherein the shorter the time for the water level of the washing water supplied for the washing to reach the target water level is, the shorter the spray time for the rinsing is set.
14. The washing method of claim 12, wherein the longer the time for the water level of the washing water supplied for the washing to reach the target water level is, the longer the spray time for the rinsing is set.
15. The washing method of claim 11, further comprising measuring an amount of laundry in the washing tub, wherein the target water level is set according to the amount of the laundry measured in the laundry amount measuring step.
16. The washing method of claim 11, wherein the laundry in the washing tub is dehydrated during the course of spraying the washing water for the rinsing.
