1. An electrolyte (8) for the electrochemical machining of metallic components (5), wherein the electrolyte (8) has a proportion of a protic solvent (15).
2. The electrolyte (8) as claimed in the preceding claim, wherein the average proportion of the protic solvent (15) in the electrolyte (8) is in the range from 0.01 to 80% by volume.
3. The electrolyte (8) as claimed in either of the preceding claims, wherein the protic solvent (15) is a protic polar solvent.
4. The electrolyte (8) as claimed in any of the preceding claims, wherein the protic solvent (15) comprises at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, a carboxylate group, a hydroxyl group and an amino group.
5. The use of an electrolyte (8) as claimed in any of the preceding claims for the electrochemical machining of metallic components (5).
6. An electrochemical machining process for machining at least one metallic component (5), wherein a protic solvent (15) is added to an electrolyte (8).
7. The machining process as claimed in claim 6, wherein the protic solvent is added as a function of a measured concentration of the solvent (15) in the electrolyte (8).
8. The machining process as claimed in claim 6 or 7, wherein the component (5) to be machined is subjected beforehand to precleaning.
9. An apparatus (1) for the electrochemical machining of at least one component (1), wherein at least one metering device (13) for addition of a protic solvent (15) to an electrolyte (8) is provided.
10. The apparatus (1) as claimed in the preceding claim, wherein conduits (10) and transport means (19) which form a circulation system (11) for the electrolyte (8) are provided.
11. The apparatus (1) as claimed in either claim 9 or 10, wherein at least one measurement facility (17) for measuring at least one property of the electrolyte (8) is provided.
12. The apparatus (1) as claimed in any of claims 9 to 11, wherein a control facility (16) which is connected to the metering device (13) and the measurement facility (17) is provided.
