Abstract

A drying mat for babies comprising of a pad, a pad cover and a removable cloth cover, which absorbs moisture from the body of the baby and provides a comfortable place for the baby to lie on while being dried with a towel after a bath.
Should the baby soil one side of the removable cloth cover, the side in use is folded upward to contain the soiled side. The mat is turned over and the unsoiled side is used. The removable cloth cover is removed from the pad and pad cover and washed.

Claims (13)

1. A drying mat for babies, comprising:
A pad portion wrapped with a pad cover, wrapped with a removable cloth cover comprised of an absorbent exterior and waterproof interior with a longitudinal length and latitudinal length large enough to lay a baby on.
2. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1 in which the pad portion is comprised of foam.
3. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1 in which the pad portion is comprised of air.
4. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2 or 3 in which the pad cover portion is comprised of vinyl.
5. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2 or 3 in which the pad cover portion is comprised of polyvinyl.
6. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2 or 3 in which the pad cover portion is comprised of plastic.
7. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 in which the pad cover comprises of metal plates made of ferromagnetic material on the top and bottom walls, adjacent the sidewalls.
8. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 in which the removable cloth cover is comprised of waterproof terrycloth also known as terrycloth laminate.
9. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 in which the removable cloth cover is comprised of terrycloth.
10. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 in which the removable cloth cover divides longitudinally into an upper and lower cloth cover at approximately the midway point along the sidewalls.
11. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 in which nickel-plated magnets are used to fasten the removable cloth cover to the pad cover.
12. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 in which nickel-plated magnets are located on the bottom corners of the upper and lower cloth covers with identical poles facing toward the pad cover.
13. A drying mat for babies according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 in which the upper or lower cloth cover is folded upward, approximately in half, and fastened to the pad cover.
