Description
DESCRIPTION DE L'ART ANTÉRIEUR
AND METHOD FOR CLEANING A SURFACE
EXTERNAL OF A BUILDING
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a product and a method of cleaning. More particularly, the invention relates to a dispersible product and a method for the cleaning of external surfaces of buildings.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
External surfaces of buildings are often exposed to in such a way that dirt is deposited and accumulates gradually on the area external of these. An important source of dirt comes from the erection of wall of masonry. When erecting masonry walls, made of stone or brick, of the Mortar residues often remain in place. Therefore, cleanings periodicals of the external surfaces of the building are necessary.
In known methods of building cleaning, the method typically used involves a worker who is suspended or brought near the building with a positioning crane or other similar system. The person in front clean the building typically applies a liquid cleaning agent to the area the external wall of the building with the help of a hose or other spreading system.
After the application of the product or cleaning agent, the outer surface of the building is then cleaned with a jet of water under pressure, to remove dirt of mortar on the exterior surface of the building.
However, external structural surface cleaning products used currently in the building maintenance field contain habitually irritating or even dangerous products not only for the person who
2 applies the cleaner to the building, but also to the environment of the building. For example, typical cleaning products for this kind of application contain chloridic acid, which requires a lot of precautions in the application of the cleaning product on surfaces. Moreover, the application of such a dangerous product must be made in order to avoid the most as possible accidental spills at the foot of the building, taking into account the corrosive cleaning product.
However, it was recently discovered that the ancient Mayan peoples had used a interesting cleaning technique for the maintenance of the structures they had built. Indeed, these peoples had developed a pasty substance containing lime they applied on building structures they had built in order to clean them. However, the use of lime on the current buildings is not an effective solution.
So there is currently a need for a cleaning product and a method of cleaner and safer cleaning for both the person applying the cleaning product and for the building as well as the surrounding places.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Referring now to the figures, there is illustrated a product and a method cleaning of external surfaces of buildings.
According to the invention, the cleaning product comprises:
about 40% to 60% of the weight of kaolin; and about 1% to 20% by weight of an acid.
Preferably, the product comprises 11% -5% by weight of 30-80% acetic acid and 1% -5% by weight of anhydrous citric acid.
The product has a physical appearance of dough with preferably a density of 1.20-1.30 kg / L and a pH of 1-3.
In addition, the present invention is directed to a method for cleaning surfaces buildings including the steps of:
a) providing a dispersible cleaning product comprising:
about 40% to 60% of the weight of kaolin; and about 1% to 20% by weight of an acid;
b) apply the cleaning product to the outer surface of the building;
c) let the cleaning product dry; and (d) remove the cleaning product from the external surface of the building applying pressurized water.
The cleaning product according to the present invention is ecological and not damaging for structures, plants or persons surrounding the cleaning site. Of more, the cleaning product is safe for the skin.
Par exemple, des odeurs naturelles ou artificielles The technique of application of the product corresponds essentially to application external of a poultice on the external surface of the building to allow his cleaning. The product acts during the drying process and is fully washable as illustrated in Figure 5 which demonstrates the interesting results that result from the application of the product on a wall 510 with respect to a part of the wall where the cleaning has not been done 520.
Preferably, the product can be dispersed using known systems of pumping mortar including a screw pump. Plus, sweet products used as main ingredients of the cleaning product offer clear benefits by compared with previous use of choridic acid for such applications. In Indeed, the operator who has to apply the substance on the wall does not have to worry about protect against splashing or protecting third parties during his application and cleaning work.
In addition, the method of application of the cleaning substance is easily identifiable considering the visual appearance of the product. Therefore, it is easy to identify if third parties are using a similar technique application of cleaning product on other buildings.
Preferably, the color of the cleaning substance can be adjusted depending on the external color of the building where the cleaning must be made.
In addition, to enhance the cleaning process, different odors can be incorporated into the cleaning product to complement the arrangement of color (eg beige opaque). For example, natural odors or artificial
6 like fruit flavors (eg cherry) up to flavors of balls of gum, may be incorporated into the cleaning product.
Since the cleaning product uses natural products, it will be easier for sale for building exterior cleaning projects in relation to other cleaning techniques that use more industrial products dangerous for the environment.
The cleaning product according to the present invention does not attack the majority materials used on external surfaces of buildings except partially for some zinc surfaces or similar surfaces that may be stained as a result of application of the product.
Currently, several different materials, such as stainless steel, aluminum, glass, cement, brick and marble are used to form structures external buildings. Dependent on the property and colors of each of these materials, a specific cleaning product and color can be chosen.
Moreover, to prevent staining or corrosion of the external surface, ingredients of the cleaning product can be varied to suit the application specific.
The relative quantities of the various components of the cleaning product are determined according to the surface to be cleaned, the level of dirt to be cleaned and in any case, the proportions of the following ingredients must be at least less about 40% to 60% by weight of kaolin and about 1% to 20% by weight of an acid.
In the method of application of the cleaning product according to this invention, the product always acts in the same concentration. In the event that the mortar has not completely disappeared, you have to reapply the product and leave it to dry. The concentrations in the clay mixture are calculated according to the fragility of building components and the hardness of the mortar.
7 The different steps of the method according to the present invention are illustrated in Figures 2 to 4. First, in the example shown in Figure 2, the product cleaner 100 is installed in a distribution pump 110 like the one used for mortar application. Then, as shown in Figure 3, the operator 120 is placed in a gondola 122 connected to a lift device 124 in order to ability to move the operator along an external surface of a building 130 to to be cleaned. As shown in Figure 3, the operator uses a spray gun dispersion 132 connected to the pump to spread the cleaning product on the surface of the wall.
Typically, as shown in Figure 4, product application will start at top of the building and will go down as the product tends to flow down the structure. Preferably, the operator seeks to standardize the application of the cleaning product on the outer surface thus forming a layer of cleaning product applied to it. This layer is then subject to a drying process nature! or forced thus becoming a solid poultice up be cleaned with pressurized water thereafter.
