Abstract

La présente invention a trait dune manière générale à un ensemble de traction de remplacement de roue qui utilise, à des fins de propulsion, une chenille sans fin sétendant longitudinalement disposée autour dun barbotin, dune poulie de tension de la chenille, de galets de roulement et dun rail de guidage et coopérant avec ceux-ci. De tels ensembles de traction sont conçus pour être utilisés sur des véhicules à taille réduite, des VTT et des véhicules similaires. Le rail de guidage est fixé dans la partie inférieure dun cadre et les galets de roulement sont montés sur celui-ci. Une telle configuration a plus ou moins la forme dun A. Le barbotin comprend un alésage central adapté pour recevoir des roulements à billes qui sont placés directement dans lalésage central. Une telle configuration élimine la nécessité dune cage de roulement lourde et coûteuse généralement utilisée sur des ensembles de traction de la technique antérieure. Le rail de guidage est adapté pour se mettre en prise dans un canal complémentaire formé dans la bande coulissante.
