Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système visant à donner des capacités de télémétrie de mesure de fond de trou électromagnétique (EM) pendant le forage (MWD) à l'aide d'un outil existant de mesure MWD par transmission d'impulsions par la boue (mud-pulse). Un outil EM intercepte le signal de sortie de l'outil de mesure mud-pulse et génère un signal EM qui imite le signal de pression de la boue. Ce signal est intercepté à la surface par un module récepteur qui conditionne le signal et fait entrer ledit signal dans le récepteur de l'outil mud-pulse existant. Comme le signal EM imite un signal d'impulsion par la boue, le récepteur de l'outil mud-pulse ne nécessite pas de modifications au logiciel ou au matériel pour traiter le mode de télémétrie EM. L'outil EM peut donc être adapté pour fournir également une télémétrie double en lui intégrant un pulseur de pression classique que l'on utiliserait normalement avec l'outil de mesure par impulsions.
