Abstract

In the practice of in-line skating, it is known that the usual way to brake is to push against the ground, a brake shoe installed on the back of one of the skates. The skater achieves this by lifting the front of his foot, then pushing his heel to the ground. However, it is very difficult for him to keep the front of his foot in a raised position when he exerts this thrust; this being overhanging with respect to the brake shoe. His balance is also difficult to keep. Braking is thus reduced. The present invention consists of a braking system for inline skates which allows the skater to easily rest, with all his weight, on handles connected to braking shoes, which have the particularity of pivoting and of high down, in order to brake effectively. These handles, attached to the back boot of each skate, require the skater who grabs them to squat. It thus lowers its center of gravity and, by the same token, controls its balance during braking.

4. A braking system as defined in claims 1, 2, or 3 whose set is characterized by the fact that it allows a crouching skater leaning against it, to direct his weight forward together, to lighten his braking. 5. 5. A braking system as defined in claims 1, 2, 3 or 4 whose set is characterized by the fact that it allows a crouching skater leaning against it, directing his weight towards the back of the said together, in order to accentuate his braking. 6. 6. A braking system as defined in claims 1, 2, 3, 4 or including the section of the anchor bar that houses the pivot bolt that connects the set taken in hand, is curved, set back from the boot, for allow the front ends of the two tubes of the set taken in hand, to occupy the space between the boot and this section of the bar anchor. 7. A braking system as defined in claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 whose two tube ends of the set taken in hand, which occupy the space between the boot and the curved section of the bar anchorage, have an outgrowth that encroaches on it, in order to allow the blocking the system, either at the standby position or at the maximum braking. 8.
