Abstract
A foldable goal device has a hockey goal frame (10), a soccer goal frame (20), two connecting straps (30), two supporting rods (40) and a net (50). The connecting straps (30) are mounted between the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) and selectively holding one of the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) uprightly on the other. Each connecting strap (30) has a sleeve (31). The supporting rods (40) are rigid and are detachably mounted respectively in the sleeves (31). The net (50) is mounted on the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20). The supporting rods (40) are rigid and firm to securely hold the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) upright with respect to each other and prevent the foldable goal device from inadvertently collapsing when a soccer ball strikes the soccer goal frame (20).
Description
I FOLDABLE GOAL DEVICE
3 1. Field of the Invention 4 The present invention relates to a goal device, and more particularly to a foldable goal device that has two resilient frames, two connecting straps 6 connected between resilient frames and two supporting bars detachably mounted 7 respectively in the connecting straps.
8 2. Description of Related Art 9 Foldable goals are used generally by children for playing soccer or hockey ball games and may be folded into a compact configuration for carrying I I and storage.
12 A conventional foldable goal has two resilient frames, a net, two 13 connection members and two resilient loops. The frames serve respectively as a 14 soccer goal frame and a hockey goal frame. The net is mounted between the frames. The connection members are toft and hollow, are made of fabric and 16 connect the resilient frames to each other. Each connection member has two ends.
17 One end of the connection member is seamed securely on one frame and the 18 other end is mounted detachably to the other frame through a loop and hook 19 fastener. The resilient loops are made of plastic or metal wires and are mounted respectively in the connection members. When the foldable goal is opened, the 21 resilient loops hold one frame perpendicularly on the other frame.
22 However, the loop and hook fasteners easily loosen to detach the frames 23 from each other and collapse the foldable goal when a soccer ball heavily strikes 24 one of the frames. Furthermore, the resilient loops are not firm well and may be 1 deformed by the impact from the soccer ball to inadvertently collapse the 2 foldable goal.
3 To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a foldable 4 goal device to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
6 The main objective of the invention is to provide a foldable goal device 7 that has two resilient frames, two connecting straps.connected between resilient 8 frames and two supporting bars detachably mounted respectively in the 9 connecting straps.
A foldable goal device in accordance with the present invention 11 comprises a hockey goal frame, a soccer goal frame, two connecting straps, two 12 supporting rods and a net. The connecting straps are mounted between the 13 hockey and soccer goal frames and selectively holding one of the hockey and 14 soccer goal frames uprightly on the other. Each connecting strap has a sleeve.
The net is mounted on the hockey and soccer goal frames.
16 Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will 17 become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in 18 conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

13 With reference to Figs. 1, 2 and 4, a foldable goal device in accordance 14 with the present invention comprises a hockey goal frame (10), a soccer goal frame (20), two connecting straps (30), two supporting rods (40) and a net (50).
16 The hockey goal frame (10) is resilient and rectangular, may be made of 17 metal or rubber and has two opposite side edges, a connecting edge, a sheath 18 (101), a through hole (105) and an inside patch (21).
19 The connecting edge is defined between the side edges.
The sheath (101) is mounted around the hockey goal frame (10) and may 21 be made of fabric.
22 The through. hole (105) is defined through the hockey goal frame (10).
23 The inside patch (21) may be made of fabric, is mounted on the sheath 24 (101) in the through hole (105) by seaming and has four corners and multiple 1 scoring holes (112). The scoring holes (112) are defined through the inside patch 2 (21). In a preferred embodiment, the inside patch (11) has five scoring holes 3 (112). Four of the scoring holes (112) are located respectively in the corners and 4 the last scoring hole (112) is located near the connecting edge of the hockey goal frame (10).
6 The soccer goal frame (20) is resilient and rectangular, may be made of 7 metal or rubber and is connected pivotally to and capable of stacking on the 8 hockey goal frame (10). The soccer goal frame (20) has two opposite side edges, 9 a connecting edge, a sheath (201) and a through hole (205) and may further have an annular inside patch (21).
11 The connecting edge is defmed between the side edges and is connected 12 pivotally to the connecting edge of the hockey goal fiame (10).
13 The sheath (201) is mounted around the soccer goal frame (20) and is 14 mounted on the sheath (101) of the hockey goal frame (10) by seaming to pivotally connect the connecting edges of the soccer and hockey goal frames (10, 16 20).
17 The thorough hole (205) is defined through the soccer goal frame (20) 18 and serves as a scoring hole.
19 The annular inside patch (21) may be made of fabric, is mounted on the sheath (201) of the soccer goal frame (20) by seaming and protrudes inward to 21 reduce the through hole (205) to increase the difficulty to shoot a soccer ball into 22 the through hole (205).
23 With further reference to Fig. 3, the connecting straps (30) are mounted 24 between the sheaths (101, 201) of the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) by 1 seaming, are located respectively adjacent to the side edges of each of the 2 hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) and selectively hold one of the hockey 3 and soccer goal frames (10, 20) standing uprightly on the other. Each connecting 4 strap (30) has a sleeve (31) and a fastener (32). The sleeve (31) is longitudinal 5 and hollow, is formed on the connecting strap (30) and has two ends and an 6 opening. The ends of the sleeve (31) respectively abut the hockey and soccer 7 goal frames (10, 20). The fastener (32) is mounted on the opening, selectively 8 closes or opens the opening and may be a zipper assembly.
8 2. Description of Related Art 9 Foldable goals are used generally by children for playing soccer or hockey ball games and may be folded into a compact configuration for carrying I I and storage.
12 A conventional foldable goal has two resilient frames, a net, two 13 connection members and two resilient loops. The frames serve respectively as a 14 soccer goal frame and a hockey goal frame. The net is mounted between the frames. The connection members are toft and hollow, are made of fabric and 16 connect the resilient frames to each other. Each connection member has two ends.
17 One end of the connection member is seamed securely on one frame and the 18 other end is mounted detachably to the other frame through a loop and hook 19 fastener. The resilient loops are made of plastic or metal wires and are mounted respectively in the connection members. When the foldable goal is opened, the 21 resilient loops hold one frame perpendicularly on the other frame.
22 However, the loop and hook fasteners easily loosen to detach the frames 23 from each other and collapse the foldable goal when a soccer ball heavily strikes 24 one of the frames. Furthermore, the resilient loops are not firm well and may be 1 deformed by the impact from the soccer ball to inadvertently collapse the 2 foldable goal.
3 To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a foldable 4 goal device to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
6 The main objective of the invention is to provide a foldable goal device 7 that has two resilient frames, two connecting straps.connected between resilient 8 frames and two supporting bars detachably mounted respectively in the 9 connecting straps.
A foldable goal device in accordance with the present invention 11 comprises a hockey goal frame, a soccer goal frame, two connecting straps, two 12 supporting rods and a net. The connecting straps are mounted between the 13 hockey and soccer goal frames and selectively holding one of the hockey and 14 soccer goal frames uprightly on the other. Each connecting strap has a sleeve.
The net is mounted on the hockey and soccer goal frames.
16 Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will 17 become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in 18 conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

13 With reference to Figs. 1, 2 and 4, a foldable goal device in accordance 14 with the present invention comprises a hockey goal frame (10), a soccer goal frame (20), two connecting straps (30), two supporting rods (40) and a net (50).
16 The hockey goal frame (10) is resilient and rectangular, may be made of 17 metal or rubber and has two opposite side edges, a connecting edge, a sheath 18 (101), a through hole (105) and an inside patch (21).
19 The connecting edge is defined between the side edges.
The sheath (101) is mounted around the hockey goal frame (10) and may 21 be made of fabric.
22 The through. hole (105) is defined through the hockey goal frame (10).
23 The inside patch (21) may be made of fabric, is mounted on the sheath 24 (101) in the through hole (105) by seaming and has four corners and multiple 1 scoring holes (112). The scoring holes (112) are defined through the inside patch 2 (21). In a preferred embodiment, the inside patch (11) has five scoring holes 3 (112). Four of the scoring holes (112) are located respectively in the corners and 4 the last scoring hole (112) is located near the connecting edge of the hockey goal frame (10).
6 The soccer goal frame (20) is resilient and rectangular, may be made of 7 metal or rubber and is connected pivotally to and capable of stacking on the 8 hockey goal frame (10). The soccer goal frame (20) has two opposite side edges, 9 a connecting edge, a sheath (201) and a through hole (205) and may further have an annular inside patch (21).
11 The connecting edge is defmed between the side edges and is connected 12 pivotally to the connecting edge of the hockey goal fiame (10).
13 The sheath (201) is mounted around the soccer goal frame (20) and is 14 mounted on the sheath (101) of the hockey goal frame (10) by seaming to pivotally connect the connecting edges of the soccer and hockey goal frames (10, 16 20).
17 The thorough hole (205) is defined through the soccer goal frame (20) 18 and serves as a scoring hole.
19 The annular inside patch (21) may be made of fabric, is mounted on the sheath (201) of the soccer goal frame (20) by seaming and protrudes inward to 21 reduce the through hole (205) to increase the difficulty to shoot a soccer ball into 22 the through hole (205).
23 With further reference to Fig. 3, the connecting straps (30) are mounted 24 between the sheaths (101, 201) of the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) by 1 seaming, are located respectively adjacent to the side edges of each of the 2 hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) and selectively hold one of the hockey 3 and soccer goal frames (10, 20) standing uprightly on the other. Each connecting 4 strap (30) has a sleeve (31) and a fastener (32). The sleeve (31) is longitudinal 5 and hollow, is formed on the connecting strap (30) and has two ends and an 6 opening. The ends of the sleeve (31) respectively abut the hockey and soccer 7 goal frames (10, 20). The fastener (32) is mounted on the opening, selectively 8 closes or opens the opening and may be a zipper assembly.
9 With further reference to Figs. 5 and 6, the supporting rods (40) are rigid, may be made of metal and are detachably mounted respectively in the sleeves 11 (31) of the connecting straps (30) to press against the hockey and soccer goal 12 frames (10, 20) to securely hold the foldable goal device on an unfolded 13 configuration. Each supporting rod (40) may have an intermediate cylinder (42), 14 two end sections (41) and an elastic string (43).
The intermediate cylinder (42) is hollow and has a mounting hole 16 defined through the intermediate cylinder (42) and having two open ends.
17 The end sections (41) are hollow, are mounted respectively in the open 18 ends of the mounting hole in the intermediate cylinder (42) and each end section 19 (41) has an open end.
The elastic string (43) is mounted through the mounting hole in the 21 internnediate cylinder (42) and has two ends mounted respectively in the open 22 ends of the end sections (41).
23 When the foldable goal device is changed into a compact configuration 24 for storage and carrying, each supporting rod (40) is detached from one 1 connecting strap (30) and folded into a compact arrangement by disassembling 2 the end sections (41) and the intermediate cylinder (42).
3 The net (50) is soft and is mounted on the sheaths (101, 201) of the 4 hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) to catch a soccer ball or hockey ball.
)With further reference to Fig. 7, to change the foldable goal device into 6 the compact configuration for storage and carrying, a user detaches the 7 supporting rods (40) from the connecting straps (30) and then pivots down one of 8 the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) to stack the hockey and soccer goal 9 frames (10, 20) together. Next, the user grips the side edges of the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) with two hands and then twists the whole foldable 11 goal device into an 8-shaped twisted configuration with two connected circles.
12 Finally, the user folds the 8-shaped twisted configuration to make the circles 13 overlapping and therefore completely changes the foldable goal device into the 14 compact circular configuration, as shown in Fig. 7.
The connecting straps are mounted securely on the sheaths (101, 201) by 16 seaming and would not be detached easily from the hockey and soccer goal 17 frames (10, 20) to inadvertent collapse the foldable goal device.
Furthermore, 18 the supporting rods (40) are rigid and firm to securely hold the hockey and 19 soccer goal frames (10, 20) upright with respect to each other and prevent the foldable goal device from inadvertently collapsing when a soccer ba[l strikes the 21 soccer goal frame (20). Therefore, the foldable goal device with the connecting 22 straps (30) and supporting rods (40) is firm and reliable.
The intermediate cylinder (42) is hollow and has a mounting hole 16 defined through the intermediate cylinder (42) and having two open ends.
17 The end sections (41) are hollow, are mounted respectively in the open 18 ends of the mounting hole in the intermediate cylinder (42) and each end section 19 (41) has an open end.
The elastic string (43) is mounted through the mounting hole in the 21 internnediate cylinder (42) and has two ends mounted respectively in the open 22 ends of the end sections (41).
23 When the foldable goal device is changed into a compact configuration 24 for storage and carrying, each supporting rod (40) is detached from one 1 connecting strap (30) and folded into a compact arrangement by disassembling 2 the end sections (41) and the intermediate cylinder (42).
3 The net (50) is soft and is mounted on the sheaths (101, 201) of the 4 hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) to catch a soccer ball or hockey ball.
)With further reference to Fig. 7, to change the foldable goal device into 6 the compact configuration for storage and carrying, a user detaches the 7 supporting rods (40) from the connecting straps (30) and then pivots down one of 8 the hockey and soccer goal frames (10, 20) to stack the hockey and soccer goal 9 frames (10, 20) together. 12 Finally, the user folds the 8-shaped twisted configuration to make the circles 13 overlapping and therefore completely changes the foldable goal device into the 14 compact circular configuration, as shown in Fig. 7.

Claims (8)
1. A foldable goal device comprising:
a hockey goal frame being resilient and rectangular and having two opposite side edges;
a connecting edge defined between the side edges;
a sheath mounted around the hockey goal frame;
a through hole defined through the hockey goal frame; and an inside patch mounted on the sheath in the through hole and having four corners and multiple scoring holes defined through the inside patch;
a soccer goal frame being resilient and rectangular, connected pivotally to and capable of stacking on the hockey goal frame and having two opposite side edges;
a connecting edge defined between the sides of the soccer goal frame and connected pivotally to the connecting edge of the hockey goal frame;
a sheath mounted around the soccer goal frame and mounted on the sheath of the hockey goal frame; and a through hole defined through the soccer goal frame and serving as a scoring hole;
two connecting straps mounted between the sheaths of the hockey and soccer goal frames, located respectively adjacent to the sides of each of the hockey and soccer goal frames and selectively holding one of the hockey and soccer goal frames standing uprightly on the other, and each connecting strap having a sleeve being longitudinal and hollow, formed on the connecting strap and having two ends respectively abutting the hockey and the soccer goal frames; and an opening; and a fastener mounted on the opening and selectively closing or opening the opening;
two supporting rods being rigid, detachably mounted respectively in the sleeves of the connecting straps to press against the hockey and soccer goal frame; and a net mounted on the sheaths of the hockey and soccer goal frames.

two connecting straps mounted between the sheaths of the hockey and soccer goal frames, located respectively adjacent to the sides of each of the hockey and soccer goal frames and selectively holding one of the hockey and soccer goal frames standing uprightly on the other, and each connecting strap having a sleeve being longitudinal and hollow, formed on the connecting strap and having two ends respectively abutting the hockey and the soccer goal frames; and an opening; and a fastener mounted on the opening and selectively closing or opening the opening;
two supporting rods being rigid, detachably mounted respectively in the sleeves of the connecting straps to press against the hockey and soccer goal frame; and a net mounted on the sheaths of the hockey and soccer goal frames.
2. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim 1, wherein each supporting rod further has an intermediate cylinder being hollow and having a mounting hole defined through the intermediate cylinder and having two open ends;
two end sections being hollow, mounted respectively in the open ends of the mounting hole in the intermediate cylinder and each end section having an open end; and an elastic string mounted through the mounting hole in the intermediate cylinder and having two ends mounted respectively in the open ends of the end sections.

3. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the soccer goal frame further has an annular inside patch mounted on the sheath of the soccer goal frame and protruding inward.
4. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the inside patch of the hockey goal frame has five scoring holes, four of the scoring holes are located respectively at the corners and the last scoring hole is located near the connecting edge of the hockey goal frame.
5. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the hockey and soccer goal frames are made of metal.
6. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim, 4, wherein the hockey and soccer goal frames are made of rubber.
7. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the inside patch and the annular inside patch are made of fabric.
8. The foldable goal device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the fastener on the sleeve of each connecting strap is a zipper assembly.
