Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

So far very less attention has been given at the first step of the employer and employee interaction in the hiring process, which is how the job description is written to attract the qualified candidates. This invention's focus is to devise a simple and easy to use method to attract qualified candidates.

A number of methods have been utilized to attract the qualified candidates however majority of them have been extremely cumbersome and time consuming as a result passive candidates, who are happily employed and are considered best candidates do not apply for the job because of the complexity of the process. Employers ask candidates to put their profile on line where they have to create a user name and password first. After creating the user name and the password; they have to fill out a lengthy application and finally attach their resume as a result it makes the process very complicated and time consuming hence a large number of qualified candidates who are happily employed do no bather to apply at all.

Employers also use totally non-human interactive methods; means use intelligent software packages to do the screening of resumes received or in the company resume database; which is not accurate because the key word searched, does not give them the accurate number of years of professional experience. Candidates in their technical skill section of the resume put number of technology and tools they have just read about; having no professional or project related experience. When the search is conducted based on the key words then those candidates who do not have any professional or project related experience in a particular area also come during the query as a qualified candidate because they have written that technology or tool in their technical skill section.

Hiring managers have their quota to hire a number of candidates in a given period of time hence always crunched with the time; therefore they having an access to an audio or video version of resume will be highly advantageous to save the time. They can always here or see the audio or video version of the resume and can make a determination of meeting with the candidate along with a hard copy of the resume.

= Based on the answers to the qualifying questions; the system will filter applicants and the resume along with the audio and video will be sent to the hiring manager = An automated interview request will be sent to the applicant along with the hiring manager's availability calendar = Applicants will respond to the hiring manager with his/her availability and the confirmation will be sent out to the applicants again for the interview with the location and the driving directions = In person interview and the reference/background check will be conducted = An offer will be extended with a start date This hiring process eliminates non-qualified candidates and accelerates the completion of hiring process from start to finish. Reasons:

= Candidates do not have to read the whole paragraph to find out about the company rather with they will immediately know the company with the web address = Elimination of non-qualified candidates based on the skill set = Elimination of candidates based on poor communication skills = Elimination of candidates based on poor presentation skills = An automated response will be sent to the candidate for interview time = Candidate can get an automated confirmation for the interview = Majority of the process is automated and qualifying is completed before candidate meets with the hiring manager or the interview panel = Non-qualifies candidates still have the opportunity for numerous up coming positions in the company The candidates who are not qualified for the current position are routed by the system to the company resume database where they are archived based on their area of expertise for numerous upcoming opportunities within the company hence every candidate can apply for the position and no candidate will be rejected.
