Description
DESCRIPTION
Field of Invention The field of the present invention is marketing and business intelligence related to automobile dealerships.
Background of the Invention A variety of information and enterprise management systems have been developed for automobile dealerships in the past. These systems are typically based on licensing or software purchase models and automobile dealerships have to set up and operate the system unlike a third party owned and remote operated model that supports multiple dealerships on a single platform; each owned independently but connecting to the same central server(s). These existing systems cover the regular day to day tasks of running an automobile dealership but do not cover several marketing and business intelligence aspects which are essential for the dealership's revenue growth and customer retention.
Summary of the Present Invention Therefore it is the objective of the present invention to provide a third party owned and remote operated marketing and business intelligence architecture and system that supports: multiple dealerships on a single platform; each owned independently; to run customer retention and incentive programs; monitor and track sales personnel performance as well as usage of various entitlements and relevant customer data. The marketing/customer retention aspects include card based web operated incentive/cash card programs and loyalty rewards programs wherein rewards could be in terms of points resulting in free entitlements at the dealership.
Since the application is entirely web based, it can be accessed by any computer with a web browser located in the participating dealerships and connected to the internet.
The present invention consists of a central server(s) with relational databases, user and card authentication/validation module, encryption of key data in database, account/user structures and their management, multiple defined reports and graphical user interfaces for users to input data that then gets stored in the database.
The present invention is based on Microsoft SQL database with a Windows Server Operating System and a scaleable NET framework accessible through an Ethernet connection only. It is not available as a desktop solution.
