Abstract
Most organic waste materials are allowed to become compost through a rotting or aging process taking from one to two years. In this invention, organic waste is deposited into a canister. It is then processed through a cutting knife blade at the bottom of said canister creating granules that ar e directed to a second canister located beneath. The organic waste is now reduced to fertilizer and is ready for deposit into the garden or onto the lawn.

SPECIFICATION
The process in general terms to convert organic waste material to fertilizer (compost) is to deposit said waste onto a compost heap and allow the waste to rot or decay naturally.
This process takes 1 to 2 years.
My invention which the new device embodies is to do away with the compost heap aging process. My device will convert organic waste directly into fertilizer granules for immediate use.
My invention will eliminate curbside collection by Municipalities thus reducing truck exhaust emissions and the unnecessary cost to taxpayers. (see attached Montreal Gazette article RE Pointe Claire, Qc.).

Claims (7)
1. An electrically operated device for the purpose of breaking down organic waste material. So said material can be used as fertilizer immediately.
2. A device as indicated in claim 1 which contains 2 canisters, one atop the other. The upper canister is for the deposit of organic waste. This canister contains a circular cutting knife blade whose purpose is to reduce the size of the organic waste material to fertilizer size granules. The blade is located at the bottom of the canister.
3. The upper canister also contains baffle plates to prevent the organic waste from circulating with the revolving cutting knife allowing the waste to remain stationary and submit to cutting.
4. The circular blade contains hemispherical cutting edges that not only reduce the size of organic waste material but direct said material for storage in the lower canister.
5. The cutting knife blade is connected to an axle rod that extends upward where it attaches to a motor situated at the top of the upper canister. This motor controls the revolutions of the cutting instrument.
6. Both canisters are united by a twist screw technique at the connecting ends for the purpose of easy access to the interior of the canisters.
7. The lower canister or Silo is to collect and temporarily store the fertilizer granules.
