Abstract
Ensemble garniture et mandrin pour joints de tuyau, comprenant une garniture ayant une partie de corps principal annulaire avec une bride d'ancrage et une partie d'étanchéité de tuyau. La garniture est pliable entre une position pliée, dans laquelle la partie d'étanchéité de tuyau est disposée sensiblement à l'intérieur de la partie de corps principal et une position dépliée, dans laquelle la partie d'étanchéité de tuyau s'étend vers l'extérieur de la partie de corps principal le long de son axe longitudinal. Une paire de mandrins sont montées respectivement sur des côtés opposés du joint plié pour enfermer une bonne partie du joint afin de couler la garniture à l'intérieur d'une paroi dans une structure en béton. Au moins l'un des mandrins comprend une surface extérieure annulaire alignée parallèle ou sensiblement parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du joint. Le retrait des mandrins entraîne l'ouverture de coulée dans la structure en béton ayant une surface interne circulaire qui est disposée de manière parallèle ou sensiblement parallèle à l'axe longitudinal e la garniture et l'ouverture résultante de telle sorte qu'advenant la défaillance de la garniture, on peut le retirer à partir de l'ouverture et on peut comprimer un joint de type à expansion de manière étanche contre la surface d'ouverture avec un ensemble bande d'expansion.
