Abstract
The invention is the oil level indicator that is used for the oil level control in the closed space of mechanisms and vehicles. The main component of the invention is the light reflecting material which is placed behind the display (control) window.
The light reflecting from the mirror surface, allows for determining the oil level in the mechanism with any degree of oil contamination.

Description
Description Oil level indicator The invention possesses numerous benefits and advantages over known oil level indicator. The existing methods of oil controls are rather labourious. The presently used display window that is made of transparent material is imperfect in a way that it enables the oil control only at early stage of the oil change in a mechanism. Over the course of the operation of mechanism, the oil darkens gradually making it difficult or even impossible to see and detennine the oil level.
What contrasts the invention from the existing oil level control methods is that under the new method, a light-reflecting window gets installed inside the display window within 10 mm. This provides a clear reflection of oil level in a mechanism.
The example of practical application of the invention can be its usage in the wheel hub of commercial transportation devices. Presently existing display windows are extremely ineffective.
Oil absorbs the light and determination of its level becomes unfeasible. The untimely note of insufficient oil level leads to deterioration of the hub bearing that in turn, may lead to catastrophic consequences, such as loss of the wheel during the transport operation.
The hub oiler cap (Element 1 of Figure 1) of a commercial transportation vehicle is shown in the attached drawing (Figure 1). A light-reflecting screen (Element 4 of Figure 1) is installed inside the hub oiler cap within 10 mm from the display window (Element 2 of Figure 1).
With the presently used oil control window, the only way to determine if the oil is present in the hub or check the oil level, is to open the tap (element 3 of Figure 1) and manually check the oil level by hand.
Although the invention has been described in connection with a truck hub, it should be understood that various modifications additions and alterations may be made to the invention by one skilled in the art without deporting from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claim.
