Abstract

Un outil d'installation mécanique permet d'installer un packer extensible posé mécaniquement et comprend un logement tubulaire et un mandrin interne s'étendant vers l'intérieur du trou du logement tubulaire. Le fouloir se déplace le long de la piste jusqu'à ce que le mandrin interne soit au moins dans une position intermédiaire, et une force de battage déplace le fouloir le long de la piste jusqu'à ce que le fouloir atteigne la position de libération. Un ensemble d'éléments de préhension positionnés sur la surface extérieure du tube s'étendent vers l'extérieur alors la force de battage est exercée sur le mandrin lorsque le fouloir est en position de libération. Le mandrin est ensuite libre de se déplacer axialement pour installer le packer extensible relié au raccord de deuxième extrémité.
