Abstract
Une méthode permettant de former une matière isolante nodulaire qui convient aux installations dans des cavités, consistant en ce qui suit : projection de nodules fibreux dans un substrat, où les nodules fibreux sont formés de fibre de verre et la dimension maximale de la majorité des nodules est d'environ un demi-pouce; alors qu'ils sont projetés, ils entrent en contact avec une solution faite d'eau et d'un liant hydrosoluble pour produire des nodules enrobés, qui forment à leur tour un isolant sur le substrat; l'isolant est fait de matière fibreuse dont le point de fusion est plus élevé que le point de fusion de la fibre de verre.
