Abstract
A collapsible window covering capable of height adjustment, comprising, in combination, an upper elongated support, a lower elongated member that is adjustable up and down, and control lines extending downwardly to suspend said lower elongated member. A primary rotor structure at the upper elongated support entrains the lines.
Dual rotary members act on the lines to exert a counterbalancing suspension force on the lines at different window covering height adjusted levels. One dual rotary member exerts tensioning force on the lines and there is an S-shaped spring coupled to the dual rotary member acting to urge the one rotary members in a direction for winding the lines on the one rotary member. The upper elongated support includes a straight channel with a receptacle in the channel in which the dual rotary members and the spring are protectively carried. The channel orients the receptacle so that the lines in the channel remain substantially aligned with the one rotary member in the receptacle.
