Abstract

A kit consisting of a two designs for a head check valve mounted interchangeably on any two liter plastic bottles with carbonated beverage like: Soda Water, Spring Carbonated Water, Pepsi, etc. and a support that holds upside down the two liter plastic bottle.
The kit is either directly attachable to the existing mass production of plastic bottles and / or requires minor modifications of the existing top cap. The head check valves are manually operated and they work either with a pre-compressed spring and a rubber ball or with a planar sealing and a pre-compressed coil spring.
The second kit requiring some modifications of the existing mass fabrication top cap, contains a circular knife designed to cut the plastic membrane while the plastic bottle is installed to the kit.
Both designs offer to consumers a modem means of utilizing all carbonated beverages sold in plastic bottles that totally eliminates the loss of potential energy given by the carbon dioxide due to their total sealing with the atmosphere and therefore there is no need to open and re-open again and again top cap bottle.

Description

SYPHON KIT
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention eliminates the loss of gas and brings the advantage of introducing a modern means of utilization of all carbonated beverages contained in two liter plastic bottles.
Fig. 1 shows the two designs of the kit for the existing mass fabrication two liter beverages and / or carbonated water bottles. Preferred design for carbonated water is shown in Fig. I a.
Fig. 1 a represents the design in which the head check valve with its rotary planar valve that can be actuated by pushing the front small pipe down against a coil pre-compressed spring mounted inside the head.
Fig. 1 b shows the design in which the bottle is mounted upside-down without need of internal plastic tubing for siphoning and in which the check valve is actuated by pushing down against a pre-compressed coil spring by means of the top cap.
Fig. 2 shows the interchangeability of the two heads designs on the existing mass fabrication beverages and /
or carbonated water plastic bottles.
Fig. 3 shows details of the head design and the assembling of the two half of spheres by means of a screw that tightens the seal against leakage (Fig. 3a) and the pin that increments the angle of rotation. In Fig. 3b one can see the coil spring mounted on its groove and the orifice that communicates with the atmosphere when the pipe in front of the head is not activated by hand and, that communicates with the liquid in the bottle when the pipe in front of the head is rotated by hand and compressing the coil spring. Fig. 3c shows the shape of the seal and of its groove.
Fig. 4 and Fig. 4a represent a side projection of the second design and a section that shows the arrangement of the basic parts. On top of this section are shown the coil spring, the rubber ball, a small rod sealed to the atmosphere by means of a "O"-ring. By pressing the top cap the rubber ball is pushed against the coil spring and the liquid under pressure flows through the internal grooves and the pipe outside.
Fig. 5 shows the almost the same body with an "O"-ring and a circular knife.
The bottle is provided with a male thread on its plastic plug, and a thin diaphragm. First revolution (360 degrees) is to clamp the bottle to the support / body and to seal the head bottle to it. Second revolution (360 degrees) is to cut the diaphragm and let the liquid communicate from the bottle to the head check valve.

Claims

Fig.1a and Fig.1b by the new arrangement and by the new planar valve represents the main claim of the invention in which the technology of fabrication of the bottles is fully preserved.
Fig. 5 represents an other claim in which the bottle plug has to be slightly modified in terms of adding a thread on it and a diaphragm. The circular knife and the new positioning (upside down) of the bottle brings the advantage of the whole quantity of beverage unlike the designs that uses plastic tube inside the bottle.
