Abstract

This invention is a one-piece formed tool designed for use in wall structure construction, and which can be hand held by handle portions being formed thereon a body member including a plurality of U-shaped part members being mounted to the body member to be secured thereon a side surface of two lumber pieces at the same time and to be marked at 16 inches by a blade being mounted underneath each U-shaped part member and producing a visible line by the use of a hammer.

Description

MARKING TOOL
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the invention:
More particularly, the present invention relates to a single molded body which can be hand held and especially useful for producing a visible marking line at 16 inches on one side surface of two lumber pieces at the same time for wall structure being formed therewith.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a single molded body which can be hand held and used to mark at 16 inches a side surface of a plurality of lumber pieces to be assembled for wall structure.
Summary of the invention:
According to the present invention, there is described a one-piece formed tool designed for use in wall structure construction, and which can be hand held by handle portions being formed thereon a body member including a plurality of U-shaped part members being mounted to the body member to be secured thereon a side surface of two lumber pieces at the same time and to be marked at 16 inches by a blade being mounted underneath each U-shaped part member and producing a visible line by the use of a hammer.

Brief description of the several views of the drawin~(s):
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 a is a top perspective view of a marking tool;
Fig. 1 b is a bottom perspective view thereof.
Figs. 2a, 2ba show the functioning of the marking tool.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of a wall structure being formed therewith a plurality of lumber pieces being marked at 16 inches.
Detailed description of the invention:
Now referring to the accompanying drawings, and in particular to figs. 1 to 3, there is shown a one-piece formed tool (A) designed for use in wall structure construction (D), and which can be hand held by handle portions (4) being formed thereon a body member (1) including a plurality of U-shaped part member (2) being mounted to the body member (1) to be secured thereon a side surface of two lumber pieces (B) at the same time and to be marked at 16 inches by a blade (3) being mounted underneath each U-shaped part member (2) and producing a visible line (5) by the use of a hammer.
Accordingly, while the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made in the invention and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications which may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

The embodiments of the invention for which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed, are defined as follows:
I claim:
1. A marking tool designed for use in wall structure construction, and which can be hand held by handle portions being formed thereon a body member including a plurality of U-shaped part member being mounted to said body member to be secured thereon a side surface of two lumber pieces at the same time and to be marked at 16 inches by a blade being mounted underneath each said U-shaped part member and producing a visible line by the use of a hammer.
