Abstract

The invention relates to a composition containing A) between 40 and 90 parts by weight of aromatic polycarbonate with a weighted average molecular weight Mw >= 25 000 g/mol, B) between 0.5 and 15 parts by weight of polyalkylene terephthalate, C) between 1 and 20 parts by weight of a graft (co)polymer comprising a core-shell morphology, consisting of between 10 and 90 wt. %, ( in relation to the graft (co)polymer), of a graft base with a glass transition temperature of below 0 ~C and between 90 and 10 wt. % (in relation to the graft (co)polymer) of vinyl monomers as graft monomers, said graft monomers containing a fraction of at least 20 wt. % (in relation to the graft monomer s) of acrylate monomers, D) between 2 and 20 parts by weight of an oligomeric organic phosphoric acid esters and E) between 0 and 1 parts by weight of a fluorinated polyolefin, whereby the sum of the parts by weight of all components equals 100.

Claims (19)

1. Composition containing A) 40 to 90 parts by weight of aromatic poly(ester)carbonate having a weight-average molecular weight M w of >= 5,000 g/mol, B) 0.5 to 15 parts by weight of polyalkylene terephthalate, C) 1 to 20 parts by weight of graft (co)polymer having a core-shell morphology, consisting of 10 to 90 wt.% (relative to the graft (co)polymer) of a graft base having a glass transition temperature below 0°C and 90 to 10 wt.% (relative to the graft (co)polymer) of vinyl monomers as graft monomers, the graft monomers containing a proportion of at least 20 wt.% (relative to the graft monomers) of acrylate monomers, D) 2 to 20 parts by weight of an oligomeric organic phosphoric acid ester and E) 0 to 1 part by weight of fluorinated polyolefin, the sum of the parts by weight of all components being 100.
2. Composition according to claim 1, the aromatic poly(ester)carbonate displaying a ~w of > 26,000 g/mol.
3. Composition according to claim 1, the polyalkylene terephthalate displaying an intrinsic viscosity of >= 0.8 cm3/g.
4. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the graft base is selected from at least one of the group comprising diene rubbers, copolymers of diene rubbers, EP(D)M rubbers, acrylate and silicone-acrylate composite rubbers.
5. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the graft monomers are selected from at least one monomer of the group comprising vinyl aromatics, ring-substituted vinyl aromatics, (meth)acrylic acid (C1-C8) alkyl esters, vinyl cyanides and derivatives of unsaturated carboxylic acids.
6. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the proportion of acrylate monomer as graft monomer is at least 50 wt.%.
7. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the proportion of acrylate monomer as graft monomer is at least 75 wt.%.
8. Composition according to claim 1, wherein oligomeric phosphoric or phosphonic acid esters having the formula (IV) wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 mutually independently denote C1 to C8g alkyl, C5 to C6 cycloalkyl optionally substituted with alkyl, C6 to C20 aryl or C7 to C12 aralkyl, n mutually independently denotes 0 or 1 q denotes 0.5 to 30 and X denotes a mononuclear or polynuclear aromatic radical having 6 to 30 C atoms, or a linear or branched aliphatic radical having 2 to 30 C
atoms, which can be OH-substituted and can contain up to 8 ether bonds, are included as component D.
9. Composition according to claim 8, wherein q denotes 1 to 5.
10. Composition according to claim 9, wherein q denotes 1 to 2.
11. Composition according to claim 8, wherein X in formula IV stands for
12. Composition according to claim 11, wherein X is derived from hydroquinone, resorcinol or bisphenol A.
13. Composition according to claim 1, containing 50 to 80 parts by weight of component A), 1 to 10 parts by weight of component C), 2 to 15 parts by weight of component D).
14. Composition according to claim 1, containing 5 to 10 parts by weight of component B).
15. Composition according to claim 1, containing polyethylene terephthalate as component B).
16. Composition according to claim 1, containing additives selected from at least one of the group comprising lubricants and release agents, nucleating agents, antistatic agents, stabilisers, light stabilisers, dye, pigment, fillers and reinforcing agents, flame retardants differing from component D) and flame retardant synergists.
17. Process for producing the composition according to claim 1, wherein the components are mixed together and melt compounded or melt extruded at elevated temperature.
18. Use of the composition according to claim 1 for the production of moulded parts.
19. Moulded parts obtainable from the composition according to claim 1.
