Abstract

An ultra-light recreational assemble travel trailer characterized by discrete manufactured panels that facilitate compact distribution (shipment)of the trailer in primary initial form and that require subsequent assembly (of the panels) by the buyer, seller, or dealer into the trailer's secondary final assembled form.

Description

ULTRA-LIGHT ASSEMBLE TRAILER THEREF~R
This invention provides an improved recreational travel trailer (vehicle) that demonstrates novel features in its construction characteristics and its assembly characteristics that pertain to recreational trailers and furthermore, trailers in general.
BACKGR~UND OF THE INVENTION
Travel Trailers, Cargo Trailers, and Recreational Vehicles have Iong been known and widely used: their design, their manufacture, and their construction predate the ox cart. In sinular historical fashion, trailers have been constructed of every material imaginable and available. The term "trailer"
commonly refers to a vehicle possessing a transportation capacity but lacking its own source of independent power. In trade, the common description of a "trailer" is given specific attributes associated with its purpose and function, and this description distinguishes it from other trailers: example Travel Trailer or Cargo Trailer. The Ultra light Assemble Trailer exhibits such attributes: it is designed and conceptualized with the general parameters of human residency and vehicular mobility as constraints yet specifically, features innovative and unique characteristics (panel construction and assembly) that distinguish it from its common relationship with other trailers.
Trailers of this type (that share similarity in general and uniqueness in specificity) are shown, for example, in the following United States of America patents:

9 4,420,182 Kaneshiro; Edward S.
Though such trailers enjoy considerable commercial success and recognition, there remains a continuing opportunity to improve existing trailers and develop trailers that are useful, innovative and origizial_ SUMMARY OF THE INTENTION
Generally considered, trailers pertaining to the invention are of the type known as Ultra-light Recreational Travel Trailers. The Ultra-light Assemble Trailer is composed of (6) six manufactured panels, each panel representing one of (4) four side panels, (1) one roof panel, and (1) one floor panel for a total of (6) six panels respectively. The size, shape, composition, and structure of the panels are subject to design interpretation, as are the number of panels used, to accommodate function parameters of different trailers sizes and types but a {6) six panel configuration is illustrated herein.. The Ultra-light Assemble Trailer drawn herein illustrates in Figure 1, the (6) six panel components assembled in their primary initial package form in Figure 2, the {6) six panel components in their discrete form (disassembled stage): and Figure 3, the (6) six panel components in their assembled secondary final J
form package. All (6) six panels are illustrated in Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3 as (1) one inch insulated planar constructions with a. rigid internal metal frame.
Fig. 1 is a front elevation view, of the (6) six panel components assembled in their primary initial package form ready for shipment and sale according to one embodiment of the invention. Details in this illustration, and the following illustrations, are omitted for clarity of illustration;
Fig. 2 is a semi-diagrammatic view of the (6} six panel components showing the individual trailer panels in their discrete intermediate unassembled form;
Fig. 3 is a longitudinal view of the (6) six panel components assembled in their secondary final form completing (details permitting) the Ultra-light Travel Trailer.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the uniquely advantageous embodiment of the invention illustrated the (6) six trailer panel components are manufactured with precision in a controlled setting and assembled for shipment in a volume saving package. The "component" nature of the trailer panels illustrates that they can be manufactured locally and transported for global sale with numerous advantages over other trailers types. The panels are manufactured of glass fiber-reinforced polyester composite or ferrous aluminum or other suitable materials with or without an internal frame and joined using conventional methods and materials by the buyer, seller, or authorized dealer. 'The axel and wheel assembly is or is not included with the package. The trailer frame is part of the floor panel or it is a discrete individual component to which the floor is attached as in conventional trailers. The scale in illustration Figure l, Figure 2, and Figure 3 respectively is (1) one centimeter equals (2) two feet. Windows and rear lights are illustrated in black fill. The primary assembly form package (Figure 1) can be dismantled into the intermediate discrete panels form (Figure 2} and ____~.~~_~_____ _ ____CA 02484801 2004-11-08 ... ....._ ___.____... .

assembled into the final secondary form package {Figure 3: the completed Ultra-light Assemble Trailer). It will be apparent that various changes and modifications can be and are made to the Ultra-light Assemble Trailer without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the claims and as applicable to other trailer types.
