Abstract
A scraper device adapted to the long handle of a broom for use on tiles and parquet floors, which comprises a triangular plate member having at one end a circular member for engaging the long handle of the broom, and of which a hole is formed therethrough the triangular plate member for receiving a screw locking nut being connected into threaded hole formed therethrough a body member mounted thereon the triangular plate member.

Scraper Device For A Broom BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Field of the invention:
The present invention relates to a scraper device being mounted to the long handle of a broom for scraping tiles or parquet floors.
Descr~tion of the related art:
It has been known in the prior art to use floor scrapers adapted for use on hardwood and parquet floors.
A search of prior art records has unveiled the following patents:
1. CA 278,426 issued in 1928 to Skarsten;
Field of the invention:
The present invention relates to a scraper device being mounted to the long handle of a broom for scraping tiles or parquet floors.
Descr~tion of the related art:
It has been known in the prior art to use floor scrapers adapted for use on hardwood and parquet floors.
A search of prior art records has unveiled the following patents:
1. CA 278,426 issued in 1928 to Skarsten;
2. CA 1,121,033 issued in 1982 to Larenz;
3. CA 1,081,156 issued in 1980 to Laurenz;
4. CA 516,226 issued in 1955 to Sproston; and 5. CA 1,043,963 issued in 1978 to Stig.
It is, accordingly, a general object of this invention is therefore to provide an improved floor scraper simple in construction, inexpensive to manufacture, durable in use, and which is mounted to the long handle of a broom.
Summary of the invention:
In accordance with the teachings of the present invention, there is disclosed a scraper device comprising a triangular plate member having at one end a circular member for engaging the long handle of a broom, and of which a hole is formed therethrough the triangular plate member for receiving a screw locking nut being connected into threaded hole formed therethrough a body member mounted thereon the triangular plate member.

Figure 1 is a top perspective view of a device scraper installed to the long handle of a broom --as shown in phantom lines--;
Figure 2 is a bottom perspective view thereof;
Figure 3 is a side view thereof; and Figure 4 is an exploded view of the components in position for assembly.
Detailed description of the invention:
Referring now to figs. 1 to 4, there is illustrated a scraper device being mounted to the long handle of a broom for scraping tiles or parquet floors.
The scraper device comprises a triangular plate member ( 1 ) having at one end a circular member (2) for engaging the long handle of a broom, and of which a hole (6) is formed therethrough the triangular plate member ( 1 ) for receiving a screw locking nut (4)(5) being connected into threaded hole (7) formed therethrough a body member (3) mounted thereon the triangular plate member ( 1 ).
Although only a single embodiment of the present invention has been described and illustrated, the present invention is not limited to the features of this embodiment, but includes all variations and modifications within the scope of claims attached hereto without departing from the spirit of the invention.
It is, accordingly, a general object of this invention is therefore to provide an improved floor scraper simple in construction, inexpensive to manufacture, durable in use, and which is mounted to the long handle of a broom.
Summary of the invention:
In accordance with the teachings of the present invention, there is disclosed a scraper device comprising a triangular plate member having at one end a circular member for engaging the long handle of a broom, and of which a hole is formed therethrough the triangular plate member for receiving a screw locking nut being connected into threaded hole formed therethrough a body member mounted thereon the triangular plate member.

Detailed description of the invention:
Referring now to figs. 1 to 4, there is illustrated a scraper device being mounted to the long handle of a broom for scraping tiles or parquet floors.
The scraper device comprises a triangular plate member ( 1 ) having at one end a circular member (2) for engaging the long handle of a broom, and of which a hole (6) is formed therethrough the triangular plate member ( 1 ) for receiving a screw locking nut (4)(5) being connected into threaded hole (7) formed therethrough a body member (3) mounted thereon the triangular plate member ( 1 ).
Although only a single embodiment of the present invention has been described and illustrated, the present invention is not limited to the features of this embodiment, but includes all variations and modifications within the scope of claims attached hereto without departing from the spirit of the invention.

The embodiments of the invention for which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed, are defined as follows:

1. ~A scraper device being mounted to the long handle of a broom for scraping tiles or parquet floors, which comprises a triangular plate member (1) having at one end a circular member (2) for engaging the long handle of a broom, and of which a hole (6) is formed therethrough the triangular plate member (1) for receiving a screw locking nut (4)(5) being connected into threaded hole (7) formed therethrough a body member (3) mounted thereon said triangular plate member (1).
