Abstract

The invention relates to a significantly improved lead (1) consisting of a strap (12) or leash comprising a carabiner (11) at a lower end and at an upp er end a preconfigured holding loop (2) and/or a loop that can be adjusted by clipping a carabiner into eyelets in the lead. Said lead permits even an animal that is pulling strongly on the lead to be held in check, by means of a hand grip (3) that is located in the holding loop (2, 22), or adjacent to sa id holding loop (2, 22).

Claims (8)

1. A lead made of a strap or belt with a carabiner hook at a bottom end, for attaching to an animal using a collar or harness, and with a prefabricated retaining loop, and/or one which can be adjusted by engaging a carabiner hook in eyelets of the lead, at a top end, characterized in that a handgrip (3) is arranged in the retaining loop (2; 22) or adjacent to the retaining loop (2; 22).
2. The lead as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the handgrip (3) contains a closure part (7) of a motor-vehicle seat belt, which is secured on the lead (1).
3. The lead as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the closure part (7) is enclosed by a sheath (4) which is provided with a closure (5), by which it can be opened and closed lengthwise, and in that the closure part (7) and the sheath (4) form the handgrip (3).
4. The lead as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the closure part (7) has a locking section (9; 10) and a fastening section which is designed as a through-passage (14), through which the strap or the belt of the lead (1) extends.

The lead as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the closure part (7) is formed in two parts and comprises a base plate (8), with a through-passage (14), and the closure part (7), which is secured on the base plate (8) via an articulation (6) and has two different locking sections (9; 10) for different motor-vehicle seat belt locks.

The lead as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carabiner hook (11; 21) is spaced apart from the closure part (7) by a distance which corresponds to that of a motor-vehicle seat belt lock and the collar or harness of an animal sitting or lying on a seat, or an area provided for this purpose, in the motor vehicle.
7. The lead as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that it is possible to adjust the distance via the graduated-length of the lead ( 1 ) .
8. The lead as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is designed as a short lead and the retaining loop (2) is arranged directly behind the closure part (7), and a dimensionally stable, ergonomic retaining device is formed for a person's hand guided through the retaining loop (2) and by the handgrip (3), comprising the closure part (7) and sheath (4), gripped by this person's hand.
