Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de support de patient pourvu d'un système de propulsion fournissant une mobilité améliorée. Ce dispositif de support de patient comprend un cadre de lit soutenant un matelas définissant une surface de repos pour le patient. Une pluralité de roulettes montées sur pivot, notamment des roues montées rotatives, permettent la mobilité du cadre de lit. Ces roulettes peuvent fonctionner en différents modes, notamment en mode freinage, en mode neutre et en mode direction. Le système de propulsion comprend un dispositif de propulsion relié en fonctionnement à un système d'entrée. Ce système d'entrée commande la vitesse et la direction du dispositif de propulsion, de sorte que le soignant peut déplacer le dispositif de support du patient vers un lieu approprié à l'intérieur du centre de soins.
