Abstract
La présente invention concerne une méthode d'extraction de minéraux d'un gisement à veine étroite par fragmentation thermique. La méthode consiste à localiser la veine et à en déterminer l'étendue afin de former les limites d'une taille. L'accès à la taille est préparé en formant un panneau muni d'une galerie supérieure et d'une galerie inférieure. Le matériel de fragmentation thermique, qui comprend un brûleur, est installé à partir de la galerie supérieure. Le brûleur se déplace le long de la surface du panneau en mouvements de balayage, alors que les débris de roche broyée de la surface du panneau rocheux sont recueillis. Il est possible de réaliser plusieurs panneaux pour le traitement, les panneaux inférieurs étant traités avant les panneaux supérieurs, par l'excavation d'un sous-niveau pour séparer les panneaux inférieurs et supérieurs.
