Description
Electric Line Bailing Tool This invention is a tool that can be.:run on electric wire line to remove sand or other particulates from a well bore. Most particularly, this tool would be used to remove debris from the top of a downhole tool bel:ore pulling it from the well The invention consists of a hallowed cylindrical body with: E,n intake valve 3 near the top of the cylinder for accepting fluid mixed with partiadates; A cylindrical screen 4 concentrically arranged below the intake valve for straining the particulates from the fluid; And a small electric fluid pump~58c6 below the screen nzember for pump'mg fluids. The arrangements for each of the components of the tool may ;also be reverse where the intake valve is at the bottom of the tool followed upwardly by the screen and then electric pump so that sand and fluid is sucked into the bottom of the pump and discharged from the top.
This may be more suitable for constricted flow passages where there is a risk of the particulates bridging the tool in the hole.
The tool is lowered into a welibore via electric wire line 1 to the top of sand fill. Then the electric motor 5 is engaged to pump fluid towards the bottom of the well 7 thus creating a circulating effect with the fluid than exists in the weIlbore.-The fluid circulates up into the intake valve 3 where it is strained of solids by the screen member 4. The tool can then be lowered into the fill area to circulate the sand fill until either the screen if filled up, or until the fish is completely exposed and cleaned of debris. Once the fish is cleaned, a fishing tool that may be affixed to ~:he bottom of the bailing tool 8 may be latched omo the fish to pull it out of the hole.
