1. A device for advertising, comprising a panel of material capable of bearing an advertising message and attachment means for attaching the panel to a door pull handle.
2. A device as defined in clam 1 wherein the door pull handle has an outer face and the panel is arranged to lie against the front face,
3. A device as defined in claim 2 wherein the door pull handle has an inner face, the attachment means including a flange portion which is arranged to engage the inner face.
4. A device as defined in claim 3, wherein the flange portion and the panel are integrally formed.
5. A device as defined in claim 3 wherein the flange portion and panel are integrally formed from a resilient material.
6. A device as defined in claim 3 wherein the flange portion and panel are a integrally formed from a transparent resilient material.
7. A device as defined in claim 3 wherein the flange and panel have adjacent surfaces for engaging the inner and outer surfaces of the pull handle.

12. A device as defined in claim 1, further comprising communication means mounted on, in or adjacent the panel for conveying a changeable advertising message in audio, video or printed format.
13. A device as defined in claim 12 wherein the communication means includes a screen or display to present a graphical or linguistic message.
14. A device as defined in claim 12 wherein the communication means includes a signal generating device for conveying a wireless signal carrying data representative of a graphical, linguistic, audio, and/or video message.
15. A device as defined in claim 14 wherein the communication means includes a speaker for generating an audio message in musical and/or spoken form.
16. A device as defined in claim 13 wherein the screen is an LED or LCD, or plasma display.
17. A, device as defined in claim 12 wherein the communication means is responsive to an activation signal produced as a result of an advertising consumer within a predetermined proximity of the handle.
18. A devise as defined in claim 17, further comprising a proximity detector for generating the activation signal when detecting the presence of the advertising consumer.

A door pull handle assembly, comprising a door pul handle unit having an inner face and an outer face, the handle unit being attached to an spaced from a door unit and arranged to receive a user's grip to open the door, and a removable cover unit for covering the handle unit, the cover unit having a panel of material capable of bearing an advertising message and attachment means for attaching the cover unit to the door pull handle unit.

29. A device as defined in claim 20, further comprising a removable substrate layer mounted in the panel, the removable substrate layer including graphical or linguistic indicia representative of an advertising message.
30. A device as defined in claim 20 further comprising a cavity adjacent the panel, the cavity dimensioned to receive a removable substrate layer therein, the removable substrate layer including graphical or linguistic indicia representative of an advertising message.
31. A device as defined in claim 20, further comprising communication means mounted on, in or adjacent the panel for conveying a changeable advertising message in audio, video or printed format.
32. A device as defined in claim 31 wherein the communication means includes a screen or display to present a graphical or linguistic message.
33. A device as defined in claim 31 wherein the communication means includes a signal generating device for conveying a wireless signal carrying data representative of a graphical linguistic, audio, and/or video message.

38. A device as defined in claim 36, further comprising a pressure sensor operable for generating the activation signal when sensing contact by the advertising consumer with the handle.
39. A method of presenting an advertising message on a door, comprising the steps of providing a door unit with a door pull handle unit mounted thereon; locating a removable cover unit on the handle unit, and providing the cover unit with a panel of material capable of bearing an advertising message.
40. A door pull handle assembly, comprising a door pull handle unit having an inner face and an outer face, the handle unit being attached to and spaced from a door unit and arranged to receive a user's grip to open the door, and a removable cover unit for covering the handle unit, the cover unit having a panel bearing a display terminal for displaying an advertising message.
41. A door pull handle assembly as defined in claim 40 wherein the display terminal receives advertising data from a central provider over a network.
42. An advertising network, comprising a plurality of remote client door pull handle assemblies, each door pull handle assembly having a display terminal for displaying an advertising message, wherein the display terminal receives advertising data from a central data provider over a network.
