Abstract
A hockey stick blade connected to a hockey stick shaft to form a hockey stick includes a hitting portion and a hosel. The hosel includes a waved zone having a curving direction along the swing direction of the hitting portion of the hockey stick blade. In addition to the rigidity of the hockey stick, the waved zone enables the hickey stick to have greater flexibility along the swinging direction of the hockey stick.

1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates generally to hockey sticks, and more particularly to a hockey stick having a blade which is provided with great flexibility along the swinging direction of the hockey stick.

2. Description of the Related Art A conventional hockey stick includes a slender and plate-like shaft which is thinner along the swinging direction thereof so as to provide the shaft with great flexibility, thereby enabling the shaft to bring about a rearward oscillation at the time when the shaft is swung. Such the hockey stick as described above is thus capable of driving a puck to travel farther in addition to its good controllability and shock-absorbability In light of the gripping effect of the shaft, the length-width ratio of the cross section of the shaft is restricted within a predetermined range, such that the shaft has to be made preferably thin to generate preferable oscillation effect but fails to have the rigidity. On the contrary, while enhancing the rigidity of the shaft, the shaft will fail to generate preferable oscillation effect.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hockey stick blade, which enables a hockey stick to be free from the drawbacks of the conventional hockey stick described above.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a hockey stick blade 1 constructed in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention is made of a composite material, such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, boron fiber, etc. The hockey stick blade 1 is composed of a hitting portion 11 and a howl 12 which has a smoothly continuous waved zone 13. The waved zone 13 is formed of four integral waves, each of which has tile same wavelength, and includes a curving direction which is parallel to the swinging direction of the hitting portion of the hockey stick blade 1. The waved zone 13 has an inflection point 14 to be elastically oscillatory at an end thereof away fi-om the hitting portion 11.
Referring to FIG. 4, the hosel 12 of the hockey stick blade 1 is connect(;d to a hockey stick shaft 90. Alternatively, the hockey stick blade 1 and the hockey stick shaft 90 are integrally made, as shown in FIG. 5.
The cunning of the waved zone 13 is not necessarily regular. The waved zone 13 can be formed of a plurality of waves which are either equal in length to one another and different in amplitude from one another, or different in both length and amplitude from one another. The two reflection points 14 of the above two different waved zones 13 are likewise located at the ends of the waved zones 13, but the two waved zones 13 are different in oscillation. In addition, the reflection point of the hockey stick which is embodied with the hockey stick blade of the present invention is much lower than that of a hokey stick which has a waved zones provided at the stick shaft thereof.
In conclusion, the waved zone enables the hockey stick blade of the present invention to have greater fle~cibility along the swinging direction of the hitting portion of the hockey stick and further to provide better oscillation effect. In addition, the hockey stick shaft still has the rigidity so as to ensure that the hockey stick drives the puck with stability As a result, the hockey stick having the present invention is effective in driving a puck to travel farther with stability and shock-absorbability
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hockey stick blade, which enables a hockey stick to be free from the drawbacks of the conventional hockey stick described above.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a hockey stick blade 1 constructed in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention is made of a composite material, such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, boron fiber, etc. The hockey stick blade 1 is composed of a hitting portion 11 and a howl 12 which has a smoothly continuous waved zone 13. The waved zone 13 is formed of four integral waves, each of which has tile same wavelength, and includes a curving direction which is parallel to the swinging direction of the hitting portion of the hockey stick blade 1. The waved zone 13 has an inflection point 14 to be elastically oscillatory at an end thereof away fi-om the hitting portion 11.
Referring to FIG. 4, the hosel 12 of the hockey stick blade 1 is connect(;d to a hockey stick shaft 90. Alternatively, the hockey stick blade 1 and the hockey stick shaft 90 are integrally made, as shown in FIG. 5.

Claims (6)
1. A hockey stick blade comprising a hitting portion and a hosel, said hosel having a continuous waved zone curving in a direction along the swinging direction of said hitting portion of said hockey stick blade.
2. The hockey stick blade as defined in claim 1, wherein said waved zone comprises a plurality of waves, at least one of which is different in length from the rest of said waves.
3. The hockey stick blade as defined in claim 1, wherein said waved zone comprises a plurality of waves, at least one of which is different in amplitude from the rest of said waves.
4. The hockey stick blade as defined in claim 1, wherein at least one of said waves is different in amplitude from the rest of said waves.
5. The hockey stick blade as defined in claim 1 being integrally made along with a hockey stick shaft.
6. The hockey stick blade as defined in claim 1, wherein said hosel of said hockey stick blade is connected with a hockey stick shaft.
