Abstract

A portable beverage locking device for preventing a date rape comprises a rigid circular base, a corrugated cylindrical tube, a rigid circular cover, and a locking mechanism. The corrugated cylindrical tube is securely attached to the rigid circular base. The rigid circular cover is movably attached to the corrugated cylindrical tube. The portable beverage locking device is carried in a collapsed state. The rigid circular base is capable of receiving a beverage. The corrugated cylindrical tube is extended upwards manually and the rigid circular cover is opened and closed by the user to enclose the beverage. The locking mechanism is capable of locking the portable beverage locking device in order to prevent a date-rape drug from being poured into the beverage while the user is absent from the beverage. This invention relates to beverage locking devices, and the principal use of the invention is for preventing a date rape.

Claims (7)

1. A portable beverage locking device for preventing a date rape, comprising:
~ a rigid circular base;
~ a corrugated cylindrical tube having a rigid top portion and a bottom portion, the bottom portion of the corrugated cylindrical tube securely attached to the rigid circular base;
~ a rigid circular cover, movably attached to the rigid top portion of the corrugated cylindrical tube; and ~ a locking mechanism, securely attached to the rigid circular cover;
the portable beverage locking device being carried in a collapsed state, the rigid circular base being capable of receiving a beverage, the corrugated cylindrical tube being extended upwards manually and the rigid circular cover being opened and closed by the user to enclose the beverage, the locking mechanism being capable of locking the portable beverage locking device in order to prevent a date-rape drug from being poured into the beverage while the user is absent from the beverage.
2. A portable beverage locking device as defined in claim 1, further comprising:
~ a key for locking and unlocking the locking mechanism.
3. A portable beverage locking device as defined in claim 1, in which the locking mechanism is a combination lock.
4. A portable beverage locking device as defined in claim 1, in which the corrugated cylindrical tube is made of plastic.
5. A portable beverage locking device as defined in claim 1, in which the corrugated cylindrical tube is made of metal.
6. A portable beverage locking device as defined in claim 1, in which the rigid circular cover is rotatably attached to the rigid top portion of the corrugated cylindrical tube.
7. A portable beverage locking device as defined in claim l, in which the rigid circular cover is hingedly attached to the rigid top portion of the corrugated cylindrical tube.
