Abstract

Dispositif de localisation d'attelage muni d'une tige télescopique à laquelle est attaché un piédestal à une extrémité et une lumière à l'extrémité opposée. Deux de ces dispositifs sont utilisés de concert avec un attelage muni d'un couvre-attelage à l'extrémité avant d'une remorque et une boule raccordée à une flèche d'attelage qui s'étend sur l'arrière du véhicule tracteur. Un aimant est placé sur chaque piédestal pour raccorder temporairement un dispositif de localisation d'attelage à la boule ou à un endroit adjacent à celle-ci, et un autre au couvre-attelage ou à un endroit adjacent à celui-ci. € l'usage, les dispositifs sont placés sur le couvre-attelage et la boule, ou à un endroit adjacent à ceux-ci, et le véhicule recule vers la remorque. Le conducteur du véhicule surveille les deux dispositifs de localisation d'attelage par son rétroviseur et il dirige le véhicule de façon à amener les deux dispositifs en alignement. Lorsque le véhicule atteint la remorque, un des dispositifs est renversé, soit par la flèche d'attelage à l'arrière du véhicule, soit par l'extrémité avant de la remorque. Lorsque le conducteur constate cet évènement, il sait que le couvre-attelage et la boule sont en position pour le raccordement.
