DOMAINE DE L'INVENTION
La présente invention concerne l'amélioration de la moulure de finition.
L'amélioration est la création d'un espace approprié à la moulure permettant d'ajouter, d'enlever ou de remplacer un second élëment.
L'ajout d'un second élément permet de rehausser la qualité de finition, la dimension décorative, l'utilité et la valeur marchande de la moulure. Les moulures de finition regroupent tous les types de moulures tels que les cadrages, plinthes, cimaises, o'gee, moulures décoratives, etc. Les moulures de finition sont fabriquées principalement dans divers matériaux tels que le bois, la fibre de pin (MDF), le polyuréthanne ou le vinyle (PVC), ou autres.

Utilisées de façon systématique dans toutes les finitions : immeubles résidentiels et commerciaux, en rénovation, en décoration et en fabrication de meubles, les moulures de finition occupent une fonction précise. La principale fonction de la moulure se résume à
cacher les espaces disgracieux. Elle peut également être utilisée pour camoufler des angles de murs irréguliers, corriger ou valoriser des effets de longueur et de hauteur dans une pièce ou encore, enjoliver et donner du prestige à une pièce ou un meuble.
Les moulures de finition sont généralement offertes dans différents modèles de profil. Pour intégrer au décor un style personnel, la superposition de plusieurs moulures et le type de finition appliquée sur les moulures sont les alternatives généralement utilisées. Ceux-ci, par contre, peuvent s'avérer complexe à installer, demande généralement des outils spécialisés, est coüteux et risqué.
La méthode la plus économique dans l'utilisation de la moulure de finition est la moulure fabriquée dans un bois de moindre qualité tels que le bois noueux et jointé. Leurs apparences peuvent être rehaussées par le style du profil utilisé, le type de finition appliqué et l'originalité de la superposition.
L'une des principales méthodes de fixation des moulures de finition est le clouage.
Celui-ci rend la fixation de la moulure de finition efficace et solide. Par contre, la principale fonction de la moulure étant de camoufler les imperfections, celle-ci en est compromise par l'apparence des têtes des clous utilisés lors de la fixation.
